can we use other region to update the GB ?

is the samsung service center (plaza berjaya) open on public holidays? want to upgrade mine...

I bought wildfire (not wildfire s) last time and not satisfied with it, so i sold it and bought SGA, till now happy to use this phone.

I went to the authorized dealer in one utama, he say I need to goto service centre. Wonder if service center will be open during weekends or not.

if i want to upgrade to GB in service center do I need to unroot it b4 i take it there? or still root they accept?

Yes I have update with it. Very easy and fast. I could read / write Tamil !!!

I have few doubts
1. Will this void my warranty?
2. I have not backup the applications so all applications are gone (no problem i can get it) but I have some related files in my SD card how to remove them? Can I format my SD card? how do i get those necessary folders (eg. DCIM, media) do i need to create it again?

Please help.

my one no problem it can show the warranty (till Apr 2013). but dunno if the warranty is void because i upgrade GB manually .

hi, do we remove those picasa web albums from the Gallery, I try to goto settings->accounts - > select my Google account but there is no check box to uncheck the sync. picasa album.

after upgrade GB manually can we connect to kies for any update? (mine is DDKQ5)

after i update to gb my mms not working, i try to set the apn same as before my update but not working. when i try to send a mms i get a msg "unable to dowload" -

i am using hotlink.

I try to connect to KIES (my firmware DDKQ5 was updated manually with salese code INU), it could connect without problem i did not change to TML.

KIES updated at startup and then when connect my phone it say this is latest frimware.

just took only 15 mins to upgrade, but I heard this will void your warranty since it is from different region.

my ace speaker suddenly spoiled (don't know why no drop phone or nothing), can't hear the sound. send to service center on 29.12.11 in person still no news from them !!! to change the speaker they take soooo longggg .

ohhh which branch you give? I gave to plaza berjaya they say they are going to move to lowyat plaza this week so may be thats why got delay..

hi all, i send my phone for service and got back they changed my motherboard, and reinstall my firmware. I connect to kies and updated to 2.3.6 DXKT5. Before send to service i was having Indian firmware DDKQ6(2.3.4) which supported tamil fonts (indian language) now after update to 2.3.6 (DXKT5) its not supported, can anyone teach me how can i get indian kies and update to indian firmware? TQ
