I noticed most application will direct install to our phone memory right?

Is it advisable to use minisd instead?
I afraid the more apps I install, the phone will out of space hmm.gif

you got to control the cpu clock speed by setcpu or cpu master. i am using cpu master. still monitoring the overclocking cos at times, it will revert back to stock setting.
flashing custom rom will wipe off your system data where your data stores in SD Card is remain.

read thru the guides and know what you're doing, then you wont brick your phone. happy rooting mate =)

Thanks biggrin.gif

So all my internal data such as phonebook, application or anything else will lose ?
If I really accidently brick my phone, anyway to reflash the firmware just like nokia series?

which casing do you guys use? Im still thinking for case-mate or capdase leather flip unsure.gif

you will lose phone contacts, but if you have it backed up to your google account it wont be a problem.Applications will be lost as well but download Titanium Backup and backup all user apps + data and you'll be good to go.

I'm using both Case-Mate Tough and Case-Mate Barely There.

Thanks for advise smile.gif

Just some questions;-

1) i need to s-off(root) my phone before i can flash custom rom. So once i flash, do i need to s-on(unroot) my phone back?

2) Once i flash custom room, all data will be gone. Im currently use htc sync to backup my contact to PC. For application wise i can use titanium as suggested provided my phone is rooted. what about my messages/calender ?

3) after i successfully flash custom rom, if i wanna flash different rom do i need to go through the whole steps again?

Now doing some research and preparation before i start to root my phone tomorrow

hopefully all goes well biggrin.gif

THanks

it seems like htc sync doesnt really backup from my phone to pc...

I tried to turn on auto sync & background data, and added google in my apps. But each time after I sync, i still can't view any contact after i login

all my contact is currently in phone memory, not sim card.

any idea?

I guess I have successfully flashed to leedroid 3.0.0 now

I followed the instruction closely, just need to confirm after i flash, i still can see all my previous data in the phone? like my apps , phonebook n sms

The thing i notice is, when i go to application menu, it is semi transparent and i can see my home as well

hboot is the screen when i press vol down+power on right?

I have done that part to S-OFF, followed by Recovery, permanently root sensation and finally CID

Once done everything, i use hboot screen, go to cwm and install leedroid from there biggrin.gif

Im gonna do a factory reset now to settle my google sync issue hmm.gif
