need some advice from fellow forumers. i plan to get a sensation soon but i'm not sure whether to get it under maxis or digi as this will be my second phone.  i'm currently on the digi broadband plan for my home computer.
*
both m&d plan are similar... i guess its alwayz down to the coverage that the telco can offer at your area of usage....
i'm on digi plan and 3g here is good...

if it batt life is like SGS2, than the SGS2 must be sucking the juice more than Sensation..Sensation only having 1520 mAh standard batt while SGS2 is hving 1650 mAh..

to extend batt life is to get higher capacity batt..for Sensation, there's Mugen Power 1800 mAh and Anker 1900 mAh to choose from...
*
have you been using the Mugen/Anker before?... do you to know how much extra time it can provide with the 1800..

Based off what I get from forumers in xdadevelopers, 1800mah (Mugen) or 1900mah (Anker) will give you on average 3-4 hours more of battery life for the former and 4-5 hours more with the latter.

But my battery drain on this phone is still silly despite all my efforts, I suspect its more of an applications/software/firmware/kernel issue than a hardware issue....if you manage to get standby drain of below 50ma with everything off you're doing good.

For your information, so far only Battery Monitor Widget is correctly reporting charges/discharges seeing it got updated. The rest is a little wonky at best >_<.
*
extra 3/4 hrs even on contstant 3g and with auto emails checking+sychronizing fb email+++ or just extra 3/4hrs of standby time?
let says the current bat only last 3hrs of constant surfing... with anker can we get the extra 3hrs surfing time??
if we can get that extra 3hrs then it worth it...

QUOTE(Pok Leh @ Aug 10 2011, 12:49 PM)
Ebay bro..where else..product available in Amazon, buy they dont ship to M'sia..

price is about USD38..including shipping and universal charger (batt dock) with USB output..
*
which ebay seller you bought it from?
there too much bad seller in ebay nowadays...

setting>Display>screen timeout>ur choice..other than that factory reset..
*
already done that... and tat only works if usb cable is UNplugged

my problem is when USB cable is PLUGGED-IN the screen won't timeout...

there is no need to factory reset cause there's a setting on the phone for this... last time i've set it to not timeout when USB cable is in...
now i just can't find back that setting..

*
its still andriod 2.3.3... if i'm not mistaken htc updated its software last 1 or 2 weeks ago as i've done a update using that...

The HTC sense software number on my sensation is 1.35.707.1 and the kernel version is 2.6.35.10 ...
you can compare it with yours...go setting - about phone - software information

who knows... maybe htc have fixed it in the current software update... its worth a shot

if no 3g then to goto a place where got wifi lor..

i google around and there is some way to set to install apps to sd card by default

i just worry if it will affect the performance become slow or crash etc
*
thanks... i will try to find out from googling....
but the android is abit stupid that doesn't allow people to choose during install cause the phone got so petite storage space..
i put all the games into the phone for better stability when play... but those minor app that seldom accessed to the sd card...

wanna ask some questions.
I used Advanced task killer.but wonder why I killed some apps, after a few minutes, when I open it ATK again, those apps are in the task again?
*
i also have this issue... i guess its not the task killer problem..
some of the apps are set to run periodically... example my yahoo mail, messenger and facebook apps will be on again right after i killed it...
i guess they are fired up again in the background after they killed...

Actually you can just move the app to the SD is the setting. But you have about 1gb rom. I have approximately 100 apps yet I'm still having plenty of space.

And, do not use any task killer. It's really really bad. Use the default task manager.
*
have tried to move some app to the sdcard using setting... but some after moving can't run anymore... cry.gif

1Gb is very little space.... my ebook+mp3+mp4+snapped photo already taken quite a lot of space....

In the first place your ebook, mp3s, mp4s and snapped photos are at your microSD card instead of the Internal memory.

The default bundled microSD card is 8GB i believe, if not enough to can always upgrade the microSD
*
true also... can move the other thing into the sd card...

It charge from ur 3g plan, dun worry.
*
then another question just came to my mind...
if in gsm mode the speed is much much lower... so if the app need to retrieve data from the net it will take much longer time isn't it so?
the longer the app run = the more power it consume (both gsm+the app itself)
if on 3g... the app can quickly download wat it need and turn dorman again...

so i'm not sure why you guys say in gsm mode will save battery life? correct me if i'm wrong..
