ahh gave up on the overclock, i really don't understand ADB, and the links hussain gave me are for temp root, I'm not sure mine permanent root or temp root. Therefore I'll just wait for version 1.1.3 of ARHD to use the preinstalled Daemon O/C provided.

Bro here's the link

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1168707

PutĀ  the 1.5 ghz file in main folder, find your kernel number and that also drag to main folder, uninstall superuser from your phone if u have, exit htc sync in computer, follow instructions to the letter.when terminal says press any key to continue...wait 15 seconds before clicking any key and box will close.and you're done
*
by 'main folder' do you mean my sd card?, just dump it there like when you want to install rom and you dump in the main folder?

EDIT: AHHHHHH NOW i get it, sheesh no wonder i was killing myself this whole morning and afternoon, I thought base folder was referring to the sdcard or something like that....its actually referring to the extracted folder! *facepalm*

btw, my setcpu settings resets after i reboot (fast reboot off) my phone, Is that normal?, or do i need to use the perf-lock disabler?...Currently i just make it max 1512mhz and min 192 mhz and leave it 'on-demand', I hope there is no issues with that in terms of stability.

This is all in my quest for a better battery life without sacrificing power, lol

Nice, the overclock works properly now, and I can edit the frequencies via Daemon Controller, and the settings persist after a reboot!

s-off unofficially means got ppl hack into sensation n take d code to modify such as the kernal...
dis is dangerous bcoz they might miss some codes especially for sense 3 functionality

s-off officially means they will unlock the boot loader so let ppl explore all d codes so u can customize urself....

if now u s-off ur hp got problem or screw ur hp n cannot revert bck u go service centre, ur warranty will void... thts do at ur own risk...
50-50 percent of chance...

s-off officially also do at ur own risk but at least got 90% chance to revert or recover bck....

simply explain = both got risk but unofficial more risky den official
*
"no pain, no gain"

ahh I love these sayings =P

Edit: The battery auto-calibrate works too, i use battery monitor widget, showed at 100%, after update showed at 98% for same voltage as the earlier 100%

thanks for the clarifications.

whoever root their phone knows the risk and clear that rooting will void warranty. there is one question to htc, if they unlock the bootloader (official s-off), so end user is granted with root access. what if the user screw the coding and brick the phone, will it be still cover under warranty?
*
User screw coding and brick phone = user error/mistake = usually not covered = my simple logic =P

So do it right the first time! biggrin.gif

"Added OC Support up to 1728MHz" thou not mentioning whether it is done via which method. bro you're running on ARHD rom (sense or without sense) rite? any review on it?
*
Haven't had time to really try it out yet since I my main objective was testing for battery usage.

How about you list down the criteria that is most important and I'll check it out later when I get off work.

Wanna flash lee droid 1.1 but they disabled camera flash in rom....can i live without flash on my camera???...what to do le?
*
I'm using ARHD 1.1.3 without camera flash and it hasnt affected me one bit because I never use the camera flash in the first place...besides, if you want real nice pictures use conventional cameras instead =D

QUOTE(teh_master @ Aug 2 2011, 02:04 PM)
it's all about give and take on certain function or feature (at this moment) since developers are still working to improve their rom. shall update leedroid 1.1 tonite from current 1.0. just cant wait to try the improved version. smile.gif
*
Let me know on the overclock feature and whether they have a built in app/system like ARHD does.

Noted bro

Excuse my noob ness...in the s- off guide it says to install custom rom need to use method 4 super cid.

Do I need to do this before flashing a custom rom or no need?

Please advice
*
I just used that guide for s-off and to get CWM recovery....for flashing roms refer to the respective rom's thread/site...but usually it involves going into recovery and installing the zip file from there, or using ROM Manager...but its best to refer to the ROM installation instructions itself and ask in the related forum/thread.

Dude I not sure about whether it's true setcpu or daemon but the over clocking speeds dont stick too long and reverts back to 1188
*
To activate o/c daemon you need to reboot two times...its better if you use the ADB command from your computer because you can actually see it say "Daemon Activated/Installed".

What app you use to adjust the overclock?, is it something called Daemon Controller?

Quote button not working o.O

Anyway, get the original HTC Secsation Screen Protector if you don't mind paying slightly more. Gorilla glass or not, it's not invulnerable, still scratch-able, and that is unacceptable.

maxgenesis, gimme gimme gimme Juice Defender Ultimate.

super wipe is not necessary if you're upgrading on ARHD Rom, if you migrate from other ROM, super wipe is a must!
*
okay flashed it to 1.1.4 already, camera flash works, overclock to 2.0 ghz works, but I dont recommend you guys to do it because it crashes so I don't think 2.0 ghz is stable, and it rebooted to a blank screen after the boot sound had to reflash the ROM, i hope it didnt damage my hardware lols.

EDIT 1: Found a solution for the OC crash problem.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...098849&page=202

EDIT 2: Is it just me or does the scores for Quadrant standard edition keep varying?

azel, is arhd 1.1.4 use sense 3.0? mind to check for me?
*
Yeap it uses sense 3.0, it doesnt change that unless you flash the no-sense version after flashing the ROM.

BTW, I noticed that after flashing the ROM, even on the old 1.1.2 the overall volume did get considerably louder...this was not mentioned anywhere in the changelog or benefits so I dunno whether its just me me hearing problems or it really does boost the volume.
