How the battery life of this phone? compare to SGS II?
*
Nothing definite on the battery values yet because everyone seems to vary, but stock ROM, moderate usage with manual brightness and properly adjusted data/wi-fi/bluetooth etc will last you till the evening assuming you unplugged full charge at 7am in the morning.

But it may die on you in 4 hours depending on your setup (like mine). Really, it's a unique thing =D

I don't really know a lot about SGSII to advise you on that, and these 2 phones have very similar specifications as well.

BUT!, based on build quality and material alone I would say go for the Sensation, Aluminium Unibody build, feels very solid and secure.

And to be honest, design of the SGSII is a bit bland too, and it does look abit like Iphone 4 from far, no wonder apple is suing them. Although Sensation is thicker than SGSII, it will seem thinner and slimmer due to the curved build of the phone, so points for illusion!

bro, when comes to mobile internet there is 2 major things that comes into my concern - screen size and resolution. due to same screen size where both sgs2 and sensation is running on 4.3", what differs is the screen technology and resolution. you might want to have hands on experience to check which phone suits you better. as for phone call and sms, this isnt major issue if you dont like htc sense or touchwiz, you can always use 3rd party launcher / sms application to override the stock application.

i personally havent check sgs2 so far, i read from forum that the over-saturated screen, pink camera spot and plastic feel built is common feedback found, where sensation is the creeking back cover, over-rated death grip, unresponsive touch screen are the common issues.

good luck mate for the phone hunting. smile.gif

@lcs87: high 5!

from aria to sensation, i couldnt give up on htc sense for 3rd party launcher. just love the mail widget, calender, location and music widget.

BTW, here's my quick update on 1st charge cycle running on ARHD V.1.1.7:
100% to 20% in 13 hrs 52 mins - 1 hr 55 mins screen up time, 3 mins voice calls, 1 hr 59 mins wifi, 3 mins maps, +-30 mins mobile data /browsing, 15 mins music playing. manual syncing of exchange mail, gmail, weather.

Coz u r using the "ahem" version ...... SPB 3D is a nice launcher for around RM40+ but not for HTC when HTC Sense 3D is almost identical yet with so much more u can customize on it . Choice is yours but IMO , save your money , stick with what u have unless u have some other non Sense devices

999 just an illusion, long term you'll be forking out more, and if im not mistaken maxis if exceed monthly data usage they charge you right?
*
what illusion? I just pay RM999, and get the phone..no upfront what so ever.. icon_idea.gif
I'm already in my Value First plan(that RM30)..then just add up RM78 monthly for the 3Gb data plan..need that data plan coz it would be not making SENSE not to have to.. thumbup.gif

cheapest? I think it is..

ps: just make sure you don't hit that 3Gb limit mark..3G Watchdog works?

hmm, the minimum rm30 and 78 per month with additional charges if exceed quota doesn't sit well with me >_< owh well, thats just me, lol.

I used to use 3G watchdog, but i noticed it kinda drained my battery because it was always running in the background?, uninstalled it. Try Data Counter Widget.

Would like to ask, Is your Sensation have dust in the screen after 1 week of using it?

well mine does. It is getting worse. some of my friend said it is fungus... but it looks like dust to me...

i guess i need to take it back to Digi to change it or warranty or whatever they want to do with it.
So disappointed. grumble.gif

if it batt life is like SGS2, than the SGS2 must be sucking the juice more than Sensation..Sensation only having 1520 mAh standard batt while SGS2 is hving 1650 mAh..

to extend batt life is to get higher capacity batt..for Sensation, there's Mugen Power 1800 mAh and Anker 1900 mAh to choose from...
