QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Aug 9 2011, 09:59 PM) Nothing definite on the battery values yet because everyone seems to vary, but stock ROM, moderate usage with manual brightness and properly adjusted data/wi-fi/bluetooth etc will last you till the evening assuming you unplugged full charge at 7am in the morning. But it may die on you in 4 hours depending on your setup (like mine). Really, it's a unique thing =D |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Aug 9 2011, 10:13 PM) thanks for that response so it seems the battery life is like SGS II. I don't really know a lot about SGSII to advise you on that, and these 2 phones have very similar specifications as well. But for average use like minor internet , more on phone calls and sms which do u recommend? BUT!, based on build quality and material alone I would say go for the Sensation, Aluminium Unibody build, feels very solid and secure. And to be honest, design of the SGSII is a bit bland too, and it does look abit like Iphone 4 from far, no wonder apple is suing them. Although Sensation is thicker than SGSII, it will seem thinner and slimmer due to the curved build of the phone, so points for illusion! This post has been edited by AzeL: Aug 9 2011, 10:22 PM |

QUOTE(Pok Leh @ Aug 9 2011, 11:08 PM) what illusion? I just pay RM999, and get the phone..no upfront what so ever.. hmm, the minimum rm30 and 78 per month with additional charges if exceed quota doesn't sit well with me >_< owh well, thats just me, lol.I'm already in my Value First plan(that RM30)..then just add up RM78 monthly for the 3Gb data plan..need that data plan coz it would be not making SENSE not to have to.. cheapest? I think it is.. ps: just make sure you don't hit that 3Gb limit mark..3G Watchdog works? I used to use 3G watchdog, but i noticed it kinda drained my battery because it was always running in the background?, uninstalled it. Try Data Counter Widget. |

QUOTE(elvman @ Aug 10 2011, 07:47 AM) have you been using the Mugen/Anker before?... do you to know how much extra time it can provide with the 1800.. Based off what I get from forumers in xdadevelopers, 1800mah (Mugen) or 1900mah (Anker) will give you on average 3-4 hours more of battery life for the former and 4-5 hours more with the latter. But my battery drain on this phone is still silly despite all my efforts, I suspect its more of an applications/software/firmware/kernel issue than a hardware issue....if you manage to get standby drain of below 50ma with everything off you're doing good. For your information, so far only Battery Monitor Widget is correctly reporting charges/discharges seeing it got updated. The rest is a little wonky at best >_<. QUOTE(pluginbaby @ Aug 10 2011, 08:46 AM) true indeed, the mail and music widget is a charm on Sense.. owh, that weather animation too... fuuuuuuu i really miss HTC now.. SGS2 dosent have the UI kick at all.. i tested playing with my friends Desire HD running latest RCMix3D and its awesome T___T ... it really feels genuine, worth the money... its not all about the hardware anyway, the what u feel good at when ur using it as a daily driver lol, the optimum for desire HD is around 2-6ma, cannot compare at all to Sensation. But then again Desire HD was released much earlier than Sensation, modders have already achieved more or less optimisation with the device. Sensation, however, is still quite new so I will be expecting more in the future =DAdded on August 10, 2011, 8:48 am indeed, 50ma below is good, under 25 is quite outstanding.. i experienced 6-8ma previously on Leedroid DesireHD.. it really makes me happy QUOTE(jimmy.soo @ Aug 10 2011, 08:51 AM) Anyone encounter problem with their screen sensitivity? Thanks for the tip! My touch screen now flawless! Didn't have much problem before but can see very obvious improvements. Good to know it worked for you.Make sure to choose "Super Optimize". so I changed back to the RCmix 2.3 updated kernel and at default speed of max 1296 mhz i already surpass SGSII in cf-bench.
heh heh heh. 2.3 is more stable than 2.4, no problems at all since I flashed it over 2.4 yesterday morning. Although battery reporting is abit wonky, but since i know my max and min voltage i can roughly tell how many % my battery is at, and surprisingly, it managed to last me all day with data and sync on, even far into the night. I'm a happy man =D |
