you will lose phone contacts, but if you have it backed up to your google account it wont be a problem.Applications will be lost as well but download Titanium Backup and backup all user apps + data and you'll be good to go.

I'm using both Case-Mate Tough and Case-Mate Barely There.

Thanks for advise smile.gif

Just some questions;-

1) i need to s-off(root) my phone before i can flash custom rom. So once i flash, do i need to s-on(unroot) my phone back?

2) Once i flash custom room, all data will be gone. Im currently use htc sync to backup my contact to PC. For application wise i can use titanium as suggested provided my phone is rooted. what about my messages/calender ?

3) after i successfully flash custom rom, if i wanna flash different rom do i need to go through the whole steps again?

Now doing some research and preparation before i start to root my phone tomorrow

hopefully all goes well biggrin.gif

THanks

1. nope. you need to s-off in order to flash custom rom(s). you only unroot and revert to stock rom for warranty purpose

2. you may sync calender to your google account. sms backup you can try the application - backup to gmail (or some other sms backup application)

3. you flash rom(s) via recovery, so you dont have to repeat s-off and root your phone everytime you change rom.

it seems like htc sync doesnt really backup from my phone to pc...

I tried to turn on auto sync & background data, and added google in my apps. But each time after I sync, i still can't view any contact after i login

all my contact is currently in phone memory, not sim card.

any idea?

Export to SD card, then import it back.

Delete all contact, then just import 1 most recent file that you save,

Btw, is there any apps for LYN.net? Like the "XDA premium". "LYN Premium"

IINM you can go to people>import or sync... i forgot... but always export all contacts to sdcard in .csv format, its easier.

In google contacts there is an option to merge contacts, so it will get rid of duplicate numbers etc. Had mine reduced from 800++ to 300++

Also, you can export your contacts there, insert in sd card and transfer to phone. Like Old_and_slow said, it is much easier, and you can have multiple backups in soft copy.

Guys, I need recommendations on where to purchase class 10 32gb micro sd card, stores here in KK do not have them, especially class 10.

Preferably Sandisk, or other brand that you all can recommend.

means your chip probably can't handle 1.78Ghz (not all chips created equal), try using default 1.5Ghz

is your phone too hot, the freq maybe too high...min one set it lower, else set the max a long, 1xxxmhz as minimum maybe not that good. what governor u use for the setcpu?

edit: extra info
Unofficial Miui Rom
