QUOTE(vccy118 @ Aug 17 2011, 03:38 PM) ops, my bad, I tot u meant official exe for s-off Thanks. Maybe this thread running too fast, and i don't follow that often. Thanks for pointing it out. Never did any changes, but seems my "stay awake" is ticked. I've unticked it. is like that after u get ENG HBOOT, the revolutionary will be overwrite but the phone stays s-off settings>application>development>screen on untick it has been mentioned a few times here... but how come your's is screen on when charging? by default it should be screen off, unless u changed it |

@TongCN: you may want to give a ring to SiS for the pick up procedure rather than waiting for their reply via email since the issue is getting serious

one more thing, how do i backup android apps to my pc? iphone has itunes, but what about android? lets say i update it, can i open a app that restores my phone to my last backup? thanks! |

Check the first page, step by step guides to root is there.
You may search for third party browser at the market. I am using dolphin hd which works pretty fine for me. You don't need a rooted phone for those third party applications which is available from market. |

Yes, you can remove the zip files after flashing it to phone, for radio zip file (if on leedroid instructions) better to remove after flash otherwise everytime you go into hboot it'll try to update again. However, for the Custom ROM, you can just leave it in the SD card, I do this just in case i F**k up on something I can always flash the ROM again on the spot.Added on August 18, 2011, 3:51 pmOne more thing, can i remove the zip files after i flash it into phone ? Do i need reinstall radio after i superwipe to install LeeDroid 2.2 How to back up after use SuperWipe ? for back up, if your phone is not currently rooted, you may have to copy the data files but its not recommended anyway. Besides, your important stuff in your SD card such as music, pictures etc will not be affected as the wipe script only wipes INTERNAL memory. For your apps, if you sync with google, it will redownload again in your first boot after flashing ROM, contacts etc should not be a problem too. So really, nothing much lost anyway. =D once rooted and you have Titanium Backup, you won't have to worry anymore haha. |
