but unofficial s-off also can revert back to stock ROM or mayb s-on too..thats what i get from reading xda..can anyone confirm this?

Correct. that is why i wonder after htc unlock the bootloader, how are they going to control / verify those unit which is valid for warranty.

in my humble opinion, no worries about official or unofficial s-off.. as long as you're 100% clear with that you're doing and be RESPONSIBLE for what you did then it is alright. Read and understand before any action cos none of us wanna brick our lovely toy! =)

s-off unofficially means got ppl hack into sensation n take d code to modify such as the kernal...
dis is dangerous bcoz they might miss some codes especially for sense 3 functionality

s-off officially means they will unlock the boot loader so let ppl explore all d codes so u can customize urself....

if now u s-off ur hp got problem or screw ur hp n cannot revert bck u go service centre, ur warranty will void... thts do at ur own risk...

s-off officially also do at ur own risk but at least got 90% chance to revert or recover bck....

They also able to s-off it after getting the original kernel released from HTC

I am thinking HTC might be secretly feeding these developers on how to get s-off... all for the sake of boosting sales and we consumers now are all smiles for the s-off

Added on August 1, 2011, 9:19 pmand also for those who are wondering how HTC can see if the device is official s-off or not, they can see it once go into HBOOT. If it is official it will bear the official banner of HTC... if it is unofficial like what I have right now, it bears "revolutionary" branding on HBOOT.

abang ni, i think you need to wait for the official unless you are an experience rooter. I rooted/s-offed my sensation this evening and try to restore back all of my app where i copied from Desire. And it need to do some tricks for me to make it happen.

So, if you want hassle free s-off/root, just need to wait for a few more days i believe now the XDA dev are busy work the butt off to make it official.
