Guys, i read through all the topics in the first few pages and it seems like most are not so up-to-date.
Its obvious that there are so many to choose and novice like me and many more i believe is looking for the best one for themselves.
May i know which brand is the best?
Basically im looking into:
a) protection b) memory usage (wouldn't want something that would slow down ur system right?)
Added on July 31, 2011, 12:13 pmi guess ill have a head start with:
A) paid = KIS B) free = MSE
true?

Not true. If you look at AV comparatives, MSE is slipping. For free better go with avast and a few combos. Kaspersky I trust. Anyway, here is my setup.
avast Free v6 Comodo firewall 5.5 (Put it on training mode and launch all the programs that need internet connection) Sandboxie free (One of the first thing I install when format) Malwarebytes Eset Online Scanner Panda USB Vaccine Portable Winpatrol free Neo's Safekeys (protection against keylogger) Lastpass Google DNS
Browser : -Firefox with WOT, ad blocker plus -Google Chrome with WOT, ad blocker -Updated Java and flash
Thinking G Data Cloud Security/Bitdefender Traffic Light
The above are personally tested by me to find it running light and fast. I will never install something that slows my computer down.

CSONLINE2.NET - FREE COUNTER-STRIKE
|
You can also consider Avast! and Panda Cloud Antivirus, both freewares. The latter is quite lightweight but the former offers more protection.

Getting Started

|
My choices are Bitdefender Total Security 2012 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 both of them protect very well.
Bitdefender 2012 improved allot the web protection very good.
