hi guys, wanted to ask for opinions on what's wrong with my lappy.
i have a asus n53sv. however, after online for some time (without running graphic intensive applications), the graphic indicator would suddenly switch from blue to white, then it continues blinking blue white blue white blue white...
During this weird period, the power consumption would also increase... To solve it, i have to restart my laptop.
Anyone can give me some light on what problem is this?

Did you run any temperature monitoring software or any gadgets? When the blinking happen, can you hover on the nvidia icon on system tray to see which apps activating the Optimus ?

The driver is already the newest version. I have battery care running but i don't think battery care is the culprit as even now the battery care is running but everything still seems fine. Once it started blinking, i have to restart my computer to solve it. The only problem from this incident is that when it starts blinking, my battery will be drained out pretty fast. Other than that everything is fine.

@avan, haha, hang on there. Probably just a small glitch as both your GPU are working just fine. Functionality is still there

Optimus is not perfect yet. Notebookcheck and other review keep mentioning that Geforce will be occasionally triggered even we have no intention for it to run.
Flash is one of the culprit. Even the flash ads will sometime trigger optimus. Basically, I just change the optimus setting from Auto to CPU. HD3000 is fast enough to handle flash or even youtube at full hd.
Switch back to Auto or GPU if you want to play game.

Did u use any Overclock software like nVidia System Tools to over clock your graphic card? Because i have encounter the same problem as you before, then i uninstall the overclock software, everything now went normal
