Temper glass temperature tolerance are much higher compare to laminated aka Lami.
And the temper glass on some forumer house not real temper glass? since the temperature swing from day to night.. hmm perhaps they have climate control which made the toilet temperature constant. That make me wonder if my current office glass is acrylic. Maybe my office got cheated by the ID. Since is stamp with Ajiya Temper glass, and every temperature swing more than 3c everyday.
The Garden walkway is not normal temper glass, but it's strength and properties are enhanced from temper glass. Try enhance with Laminated Glass, if you can get such strength.
I have zero engineering knowledge of glass, I only did Ajiya Glass manufacturing IT implementation for some quarters, I know not everything, but enough to tell what type of glass, strength and usage around the market before Y2K.
Skylight manufacturing give option to use Temper glass. Is stronger, more expensive, and it will add additional tint to ensure no shatter when break. If the buyer willing to pay the extra. And curved glass for skylight area are normally temper glass.
If my customer option for tempered glass and tinted to prevent it shattered when break for roofing works i will tell him go for other contractor......
Ajiya is a known glass supplier for malaysia market ........but i dont know ajiya got installer or not?
As for us we are the installer which is in the end anything that happen after installation the owner still come for us not the supplier.Any regarding glass strength are mainly go for engineer but normally engineer come out with their report is the way the glass is supported.
The end....
