QUOTE(Duckies @ Aug 19 2011, 03:56 PM) Ok,more poison to u guys coz i juz got the babe from Redcom. Windows Index?Confirm it's HD+.Core i5 N55SF-S2043V - 15" - 1600 x 900 resolutions. And i thought it comes with 3 usb port only? Here's my slight review. The whole thing is a national treasure. It looks sexy...elegant and classic. It's like u r looking into a sexy old beetle car 30 years go.The keyboard is not as bad as i think. In fact,it's great.I didnt make any mistake by ter-press the shortcut keys besides them.Although the power button is combined with the keyboard,it has LED under it..so u can really see the difference between the power button and the keyboard. The sound is awesome. The base can match my gaming rig's Sonic Tatoo Duo 3.And it dont distort when u on the music too loud. Now about the bad stuff. The lid is very very easily scratch-able and super fingerprint magnet. When i open the lid also ter-left my fingerprint there. Then the ports r...weirdly placed.Usually they r placed on the top on each side..but now all at the bottom of each side. Some of my cables r not long enough to reach them plus my table is quite small..i have to use 1-4 usb port. Then those power, cpu and others CPU indicator is on the bottom side..kinda hard to see. Then i felt stupid for keep pressing F8 and F12 to boot from cd while it should be the ESC button Other than that,it's superb.I am formatting it right now...estimated to finish around 40 minutes more. And i got 4.7 for Windows Index And for those who travels anot, please dont take 15".It's heavy like hell. |

When I charged it fully for the first time, it had some weird tiny-mice sound at exactly 100%. Few hours later, it's no more. What is sound actually? Anyone can explain?

Help. Too much bloatwares and I have no time to remove them manually. Any possible way to do a fresh format without reinstaling Windows?

QUOTE(AlexLai @ Aug 21 2011, 10:45 AM) Oh yes speaking of which, in case anyone needs the ISO for Windows for a reformat, it's here. Thanks for the link. I already have the Home Premium DVD but the thing is... would I be able to get back the default settings when I first got it? (exclude bloatwares) I mean like the... Wallpaper, PowerSaver plans, Sounds and additional features and etc. What about the drivers? Scared that I might lose any of those important thing. And what are recovery DVDs for? Burned 5 of them in 2 hours. http://www.mydigitallife.info/windows-7-is...d-home-premium/ Sorry for the noob question as I am first time entering the Window-base family.... Didn't have this much of hassle with my Macbooks |

QUOTE(fJok3R @ Aug 21 2011, 12:22 PM) when you finish installing windows, it will give you default wallpaper that are included in the iso. by wallpaper do u mean custom wallpaper that you've downloaded anywhere? if that's the case, you will need to backup it first, either move it to other partition besides C: or put in your thumbdrive/external hdd or something The wallpaper I meant was the default Asus' ones.... When you're in high power it automatically switches to Black type and when you're on power saver it turns to White color. I really love that for the drivers, you can download it from the asus website, but i thought they will give you a driver disc? 3rd, recovery disc is used to restore your laptop to the state just like the first time you bought them. And talking bout the reformat... which disk should i completely format and install the fresh new Win 7? Do the recovery discs come with the bloatwares? Added on August 21, 2011, 12:37 pm QUOTE(PoorVenderz @ Aug 21 2011, 12:25 PM) bro, the diver disc include everything inside? How about the audio? Sonicmaster? Just put in the cd then ok d? Crappppp , last night I heard some tiny little sound when it was 100% charged. Then later no more dAdded on August 21, 2011, 12:28 pm because previously i bought n45sf, i got this buzz sound, like boiling water sounds. it only happened when i plugged together with battery. then i go asus center asked and they say got circuit problem .. and talking bout the driver disc... does it come with the Sonic Master and Windows Music ?
