RM900 difference from N45 and N55 would be i5 vs i7, woofer, FullHD screen as well? I think its the normal for the upgrades?

Added on August 9, 2011, 1:47 amI think there would be a choice of getting the offer or not isnt it?

prob 2799 would be i5, HD screen, no woofer?

Isnt the 15.6 inch coming with a FullHD variant? I think that should probably be the reason why its highly priced.

Lets see.. my price speculation..

up to you dude.. the subwoofer is not cheap bro..

maybe buyer can opt to get subwoofer in their purchase or not..

like Asus Transformer, you can opt not to purchase the keyboard dock also. but the underneath the tablet will have the dock port right..

RM200 for "Professional" ? you sure bro?

Come on, its a mobile subwoofer. do you get this often? its either built into a laptop which cost RM4k and above or its never sold out there.

I think RM200 is normal la. Judging the woofer itself might cost around RM100 in real life.

Im just speculating, its not like Im 100% sure.

If you think RM200 can get you professional sound system. nobody is in your way.. but would you carry your sound system along with your laptop?

Added on August 9, 2011, 12:54 pmI might be wrong, I might be right. Nobody knows.

well just apply the first speculation and all with woofer then.

I dont think you can call it professional.. probably mainstream..

I wouldnt mind paying RM200 for the Sub. Its good. Audiophiles wont mind and they'll know how to appreciate it.

I personally dont like earphone or headphones. I hate the feeling of something over my ears. Even my mp3 players, I would plug them onto a speaker if I am alone. Sound quality of headphones is due to the isolation with outside sound. Thats why they sound much nicer. I would rather get a proper 5.1 system and decent sound card.

And isnt the sub is palm size only? put in laptop bag? go for Lan parties. Boom away.

actually.. CPU and GPU share the same heatsink.

Wouldnt temperature recorded be almost the same CPU and GPU?

Im talking about general temperature instead of core. Wouldnt the sensor be built like on the motherboard instead of the core? So isnt it basically the heat form heatsink as well?

For my case. GPU and CPU normally registers the same temperature.. when gaming.. say GPU reaches 78 degrees and CPU records the same too leh..

The sensor is on the core itself...
the one on mobo is ACPI, but that also usually near the CPU...
In my case, my CPU and GPU differ almost 10C..
*
hmm.. I see.. Curious that my temp for GPU and CPU is almost the same. I prob should run Prime and see if it differs..

ahh.. I see I see.. mehh.. I see a wooofer..

My lenovo heatsink design is quite short.. and its both "edge" is parallel next to each other.. That explains why the temperature are the same..

and its on the outer edge near the vent that why it releases heat so well..

Added on August 10, 2011, 1:43 pmwell. Im referring to Ivan's case where his CPU temp registers the same as GPU temp I assume?

could it be the same design as mine thats causing the problem? 14inch form factor I suppose.

Core i7 put alot of heat also, mine is undervolt tongue.gif

N43 if not mistaken, the cpu and gpu on the same direction, like the inspiron..

Ivan one, GPU 79, CPU can reach 93C..
*
yeah.. i7 definitely puts the heat.. SXPS 1640 what proc eh? still can undervolt? I tot only Dual Cores only can undervolt?

Asus mess up Ivan's lappy again.. Heatsink problem maybe?

*
yeah.. its RM900 to upgrade to i7.. not quite practical.. since for gaming purpose.. I guess its sufficient..

meh... Im eyeing on MSI thou.

overclock to 2.66Ghz and undervolted eh. Stable setup?

Do you feel any major difference of P8700 with say i5-2410m using windows? Im sure you've tried friends' laptops? haha..

reminds me of Benq S42..

so theres significant user experience when switching from HDD to SSD?

You still have to use RMClock to undervolt right?

lee sifu, u said u OC then undervolt, to bring down the temperature?
*
You can directly undervolt yourself without OC-ing to bring down both temperature and power consumption while not affecting the speeds and performance

OC will only increase temperature and power consumption but you get extra speed and performance.

idk man.. i5 CPU reach 93 degrees is abit too much.. even my i7 doesnt.. I think there could be a problem with heatsink or something.. probably loose?

Yup, at least no more lagging when I'm extracting stuff..
Now I switch to ThrottleStop, using it to undervolt, dual IDA, CPU and GPU temp monitoring and battery discharge rate as well. Memory footprint, usually under 2000K
*
that explains why you're lacking ram then? with multiple browsers and ThrottleStop.. I can only imagine RAM fully utilized.. Zero Free Memory.. haha..

How about file transfers and download? significant difference?

anyone figure out how to undervolt Core i CPU yet?

5650 (OC) can beats 555m (stock) clock from what i can see:

1455 vs 13xx

But if 555m OC, it's MIGHT beat 5650.

Best 555m score is P1889

But that is running on OC i7 quad core CPU  sweat.gif

If we chose a comparable dual-core CPU (sandy bridge i5-2410m), the best score is just : P1678

My best score running on an older gen OC CPU (core i5-460m) is P1647. That's getting close to OC 555m. Muahahaha. Perhaps a little more tweak can help beat 555m?  thumbup.gif
*
got heat issue and extra power consumption?

Memory footprint under 2000K means all the monitoring software combined?

@Ivan,
try checking out in N43SL thread.. Try ask what temp have they got.. personally 93 degrees is abit scared.. remind me of my Asus G51vx's GTX260m going 107 degrees.. lol

@cowithgun, ngkhanmein

results I intend to get is without OC.. just general real time gaming.. not benchmarks..
