I wouldn't mind getting it except for the GPU. Don't mind if it is only 720p and has Optimus but I find the fact it's using the GT555M Type A deeply disappointing. Can only hope it's not the case.
*
Is the difference between type A and B really huge? Any link for the comparison?

Well if you refer here http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=43680717 in a post from the GPU discussion thread, the GT555M type A is just a souped up GT550M with higher clockspeed and GDDR5 VRAM.
*
I mean real world performance. Nvm found some links. The DDR5 version perform between GT550M and GT555M-DDR3

So I prefer to stick to its default if possible. Only OC when needed. Thats is why i prefer to see stock benchmark results rather than OC'ed results.. I wouldnt wanna stress my GPU all the time OC'ed to its max potential. Rather I'd like it to run at a safe margin let it last longer.

Base on Cinebench, the extra cores on i7 did improve rendering speed quite much with multi-core support. hmm.gif

The HD+ kind of has a weird ratio to it. It's squarish more than wide....

Asus throw 768p into i7 n55sf and 900p in the i5 version. Will they do a recall and replace it with FHD instead?
