Anyway, i think xW40 should be ok...anything more than 40 is a bit too thick and sucks even more fuel. Unless you rev kaw-kaw everyday and redline, i don't think you'll need xw/50.

Say, is it ok if we use xw30 for our engines? Would it be too thin for 2.0cc engine? (But maybe saves more fuel?).

Right now, Proton gives 10w40 for the Synthium 800 for Inspira. But there is a 15w/50 Synthium 800 also. Previously, they were using this i think. but x/50 is too thick for a brand new car.

already on 50, use back 50 lor. About the thickest oil for normal car...unless you use those racing/high performance car oil xw/60....but better not lar....
0w/10w/20w is a rating to indicate that the oil performs the same level of oil thickness during cold or hot. 0w is for the coldest, 10w less cold, 20w lagi less cold...somthing like that....for example 10W/40 will means the oil performs with a level of viscocity based on SAE40 ratings whether in hot or cold(10W).....W means winter, you can google for more info.

Basically, it's all in the -ve Celcius range. Malaysia don't have winter, so it don't matter to us. Our coldest probably in Genting...what...17C ?? Doesn't matter....won't reach negative anyway...unless 2012 coming, which you won't be worry about your car...

Please don't buy oil at outside workshop....there has been many cases of fake oil going on. Only buy from Petrol Stations or official SC. You don't want to kill your car by being cheapskate.

As for Tesco oil, i believe somebody discuss before, the ratings might be a bit different than similar local brands.

If your wira already on 50 dun use 40 oil since this is such an old car.

9km/l??? Good FC what. My Inspira only can do 8km/l in City drive!!!!

heheh, tesco oil ok one,i pour some into waja and go 1 trip to thailand came back and check engine no problem, but not malaysia retail packing, made in EU one, i just grab 2 bottle 4L helix, last 2 week tesco protmotion, 119 for 1 bottle, yes u no see wrong, its rm119 for 1, now no more already, go back 195 now, lowest i see tesco selling 99 for helix ultra fully sync, 1 years got 2 to 3 times promotion for this oil.

yes ,shell petrol station is selling rm21x for helix ultra 5-40, my uncle who drive accord also use tesco oil, he say he use nose to smell it , same smell with shell petrol station brought that one , his customer who drive estima also buy 2 x 4L to use , because cheap ma, estima dont know 3L or 3.5L engine need use 7L engine oil. buy 2 save almost 200 compare u buy at petrol station.

Nope mine 1.8e.

lol. I understand.....thats why emphasize on PRESS PEDAL AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE 

here in jb also got lots of traffic light every 200m at main rds, but also i tekan to try to make it before turns red.

sports mode means u drive ur cvt by ur own control except 1.8cvt no paddle shifters only the gear stick

Penang got more stop and go, while KL is more like an endurance one.....

Sport mode in our CVT is manual gear mode  (for your 2.0 its your flappy paddle gearbox). For us 1.8e its the initial D gear stick   . We don't have traction control anyway.

Mmmm...relatively speaking its a pretty weak air con for proton's standards. I heard that our compressor is bosch and not denso/sanden....

Normally we meet every Fri night after 9.30pm (till shop closes) at PJ 3-Two Square (Old Town / Paparich).

Manual dun have auto climate air cond.

I change my bumper to lancer gt too, then removed the diamond logo and stick the proton badge to it. finally i have to took proton badge out and replace back with a mitsu badge that comes with it.

no choice. because the bumper comes with a mould of the mitsu diamond. forcefully stick a proton badge makes it look a little out of place not to mention it doesnt stick well at all.

I felt its ok la as long as you do it properly, by means original or at least oem part and not anyhow stick a mitsu badge to an inspira bumper. you know, mod properly else don't do it at all. quality mods

That is the 2009 LGT bumper, you can opt/find the 2008 LGT bumper if you dont like the chrome lining...

changed it mainly for the chrome lining and fighter/shark look. lol. changed quite a few thing at 3.2k total damage including paint but the owner insist she want it so pocket burn no choice

such as mine 6XXX will not come with tweeter already... some of them say around 5000 chassis that time still have..
so u can buy this plug and play... no wiring needed. if you buy this model, the cable adapter to the tweeter is totally fit in..
outside one..need potong ur cable adapter lo... (its like female and male adapter) so is plug and play...

Hohoho... I have change on HU, folding side mirror, put LGT bumper and remove my tail lips spoiler and chrome and damper for hood only. Not thinking to mod at this moment after all done. Concentration my money on other matters...my car project start next year liao hahaa:)

You google lancer ex HU.  Its is a china oem only. Sound quality is good. Above expectation

HU SQ is very subjective but many china oem HU SQ not as good as ori Clarion.
