Guys today is my 6th days using my iPad 2, i've realized:-

1) PC charging not possible unlike iPhone can charge and sync at the same time.

2) Need long hours to recharge, was down by 32% just now and after 3 hours it only charged til 87% which is only charge 55% for 3 WHOLE HOURS? (Which means i need 5-6 hours to for a full charge? shocking.gif )

I'm not sure it is designed like this or is my unit faulty in a way.

Let's share some inout from u guys.

Thanks!

Most USB ports do not supply enough power to properly charge the iPad. Actually if the iPad shows 'Not Charging', in some cases actually it is charging but it will be very slow.

Asus came up with a software called AI Charger which can solve this problem but it will sacrifice data transfer speed, I think the software reverts it back to transfer speeds of an USB 1.0/1.1 but the iPad will be charged faster.

No problems with it, in fact the Apple devices at Apple stores are usually remain plugged in all the time and on for customers' viewing/testing/demo.

While charging through a wall plug I suggest you turn off your 3G(if yours a 3G unit), wifi, notification and quit all your multitasking apps. Do inform us your result after doing so.

it uses a lithium ion polymer battery, charge it whenever you want it... for me i charge it if below 50% and take it out whenever i want to use it, regardless had reach 100% or not... never let it fall below 10%... if you are not using the network, then set to airplane mode ON... i'm happy with ipad my battery life...

refer this article: http://www.ipadmalaysialabs.com/how-to-max...r-ipad-battery/

i've installed Battery Go! Plus apps to keep track of the battery life....

In short, Airplane Mode turns off all wireless signals from being transmitted/received on the device. smile.gif
