Firstly thanks a lot for those who has given feedback about their phone and especially those who share their photos.
From my finding I can say there is a high possibility that
every Galaxy S2 has camera the pink spot issue.
The point is you will only produce the result with the right condition. Most obvious condition is when shooting white background with low light.
As from the picture shown by shopper86, although the picture is too small to judge, pink spot is not present, but I think the place is quite well lit by judging from the shadow.
Secondly, some users reported that after a firmware upgrade or kernel change significantly improve the condition, however, doesn't ultimately solve the problem.
I would like to draw a tentative conclusion here that every Samsung Galaxy S2 to date have the camera pink spot issue.
I hope this small survey can help other new users who face the problem and having the same question like me.
Thanks a lot to those who contributed.

add me in the list of users having pink spot issues.
btw, u typed lowyatlurker's name twice.

Im using litening 5.0 with ninpo 2.0.5
So far batt life is acceptable..quite heavy usage..
3g always on..wifi only @ home..
browsing + music (1hr) ..fb, twitter, whatsapp..
ard 20-30 sms, call ard 10min..
Display time ard 2.45hr..
setcpu UV -100mV + juice defender ultimate (sync every 15min)
kinda good battery life! since i flashed to litening 5.0 with speedmod kernel, my battery drops like heck!
definitely thinking of flashing ninop kernel as well!
