I just brought my samsung yesterday

typical ahbeng english
you bought not brought unless you really mean the former

Benny, add me to the list, just bought on Sat, Thanks. The back cover is so thin, taking out the cover is scary!
if you google it samsung claims it is some space edge material blah blah with thousands of links which can be bended close to 180º
and can reduce the phone weight
yet some reviews claims it is some flimsy low cost material to keep the cost of production low

lol...you will be surprise how tough and flexible the cover it. just google it on youtube

betul betul, but anyone tried/dared bending like really hard before?

a mini poll/ Q...
how do you normally wake up your phone? use the power button? use the home button?
reason i'm asking is coz the home button seems flimsy (imho). if i plan to use the phone for 5yrs, dunno if that button can last that long.
i used to wake up my sgs2 using the home button but lately, started getting into the habit of pressing the power button instead.
for me, usualy the home button

Should I root? Should I not?
do you needs apps that require root? if not why the heck would you root just for fun?
the phone won't run cooler just because it is rooted.

Yeah but I turned it all off. Even GPS. I go to sleep, wake up 8 hours later and 50% of my battery is gone to network-location-cell-update.
that's not normal. check which app running in the background needing your coordinates so often?
QUOTE(destEX @ Aug 1 2011, 10:13 AM)
mostly power button coz i also scare the home button die but now i use widget locker, so my volume button also will wake it up
, but if button really die, just go samsung centre repair lor~
maxis you still need to pay the full amount first, then only they slowly rebate for you, in the end you'll end up spending more
lol that guy is funny i cannot believe some people actually want the maxis deal so they won't need to pay one short LOL
but you are WRONG, you don't pay the full amount, you pay what they offer you and you are tied to the contract.
if the guy is just getting this deal for a discount of course it is a disaster because he will be paying more with a data plan that he does not need in the end.
BUT if you are the kind of person like the most who take the maxis deal, who wants the SGS2 firstly and definitely will be using the maxis data plan ANYWAY for atleast 12/24 months in order to fully utilize the phone, then of course you will say from RM500 to RM 1K roughly from the maxis deal.
