I concur, I was unable to restore anything from it.. kies is totally useless.. sometimes it will disconnect by itself for a while and reconnect back...

MIUI still got a long way to go ler ...... If u want my advice , go 4 their official MIUI , not thru XDA coz previous experiences told me there is actually 2 different developers for it , XDA and official MIUI

got my phone last week...rooted & flashed to Lite'ning 5.0 rom with ninpo 2.0.5 kernel, here's the battery life i got..

Attached Image Attached Image

android system is using 34%..is it normal?

my phone setting,

SetCPU
Screen Off 500max 200min
Batt < 30% 800max 200min
Normal 1200max 200min

Live wallpaper : Off
Using Fancy widget (weather manual refresh)
Data on, Wifi off most of the time

I notice that batt % drop faster after 40% point (u can c it in the graph), it was 40% last night & now left only 7%, didn't do anything..most of the time idle, anyone know what happen?

you can check this...
http://techpp.com/2010/07/30/android-apps-...e-private-data/

my only advice... use logic. if its a local game (meaning game that dun give you option to play against friends) is asking for access to contacts, etc... then better be careful. usually the explanation is given. but if not happy, just dun install.

i have done that with apps from GLU (like Gun Bros), etc...

have you read the first page? i hope you already did. we are proud android users, not ifags biggrin.gif rclxms.gif

our phone comes "locked", which means software can only run within limit predefined by android.

rooting the phone means we bypass rclxms.gif the limit and allow software to do more.

what do u mean "whether it can work on SGS2"? i am currently using it and it does exactly what i want; to have a fine-grained control over apps permission

omg thanks for sharing 'LBE Privacy'... been having doubts about a lot of programs that require more permissions than they need to, but I never thought an app like this exists.

thanks x 1000!
