QUOTE(Lemon @ Aug 8 2011, 10:39 PM) It is OK but remember flashing this will wipe your phone clean ; so do backup your important files/data. You can use Titanium Backup to backup all your apps/associated data

QUOTE(kokokranc @ Aug 9 2011, 07:25 AM) one really noobish question: what's the difference between flashing using odin and CWM? which one is better? Odin you need to use PC with phone connected CWM done directly on phone through recovery mode I don't find any difference between the two. CWM is more convenient It is said using odin is more reliable

Setting cpu speeds and voltage levels is best done and test individually. There is no one standard formula to follow. Your existing Apps that you need to work always in background will affect it. Be extra careful if you want to tweak it to lowest cpu. Spend time to tweak voltages progressively to see results. For lazy type cutting voltage down by 100 mv is safe and do not set 200mhz as lowest For those who are adventurous and want the best ideal settings, you just have to put in efforts to test

QUOTE(Lemon @ Aug 9 2011, 08:12 AM) Do read page 1 post #5 about Pit usage where I attempt to simplify the explanation Repartitions will Not spoil your phone. I it doesn't affect your phone performance. Repartitions is highly recommended if your rom download is in 3 parts - pda, modem, csc. Repartitions basically allocate storage location of rom files n please read page 1 post 5 to understand better xxkg6 my experience wifi is excellent. Infact since my first rom kkd till xxkg6 all wifi is always excellent. Never notice any degrade in reception

QUOTE(KLHC1964 @ Aug 9 2011, 10:37 AM) whatever you do try not to crack or break the glass - gorilla glass cracked after a fall , actually I think it was also due to one drop lat week, and went to SMSC to replace (ap set la) - it comes as a whole pc - with the casing and connectors to the the OLED - costs RM511.70 - if labour then additional RM100. I bought the part and went back and spent 3 hours dismantling the unit and remembered what connected to what section, then tested it - and it booted back up again like normal. No more open casing - best invest in a pouch btw i am not a case seller in case ppl think I am spamming......... Wow expensive replacement much more than the 7 inch galaxy tab glass ( around rm400)
