Having a long break now and took this chance to drive my car all the way back from penang to jb to get some basic ICE stuff done. Total time needed is around 2 weeks and this is the mid 2nd week. Everything should be done by the end of this weekend. Some may ask why so hardcore to drive 700km+ to do up my car. First, im from jb so consider it a trip back to visit my parents, 2nd, hard to find an installer that meets my need, so might as well send my car to one of the best installer in Malaysia. laugh.gif

Disclaimer: might as well put if some dog comes barking in with his (yes a male) nonsense comment. Not affiliated with any ICE shop. And for this reason, no shop will be named. Interested, juz pm me for details. But hey, those old folks here should know which shop this is.

First up the victim. Big brother and small brother. The black car, if u guys remembered, is the same car that won the recent EMMA competition.

Nice a-pillar job as usual from the master himself.
Let me know wat u think on the speaker positoning when its done.
would be even nicer if there is a amp rack. ur wife will love it..more tidy in boot area.

yessir, 602tm, no longer in production, last known street price >rm10k.
The 300w X 2ch will more than satisfy any 3 way comps. no need 3biji 2ch whatever, 1 biji motheramp kautim everything, just add 302 mono to kick the sub.

Now the final question is if the tuner can justify cost of equipment.
Judging by Jack's posts, looks like mission complete.

my home theater/entertainment plan was supposed to be delayed much much further, however with my dying TV, im going to go ahead and settle the tv part first, going for a 42", thinking either the sharp aquos 4 color BS or the sammy. Sony IF i plan to move my ps3 down stairs for good lol

krayden,
taj AV system is almost there oredy. but still without the upgraded front channel.
u should come by and watch Blu-Ray Burlesque and David Garrett Rock Synphonies!!
i think it will blow u away even without the front channel ready!!.. superb midrange density + the 18" sub is simply awesome.. guarantee u will the love the bass + the rumble.. the system can play as loud as u wann.. 5X louder than ur car..shiok!!

its in kelana Jaya, PJ.
but cant bring too many people.
can audit AV + car hifi too

his current setup after upgrades + tweaks done by audio creations

LCD: Samsung 46"
Source: NAD BD-557
AV amp: NAD T747
Centre Channel: Custom made by AC
Front Channel: PSB Floorstander
Rear Channel: PSB Bookshelf
Sub: 18" custom made by AC
HDMI: Audioquest Carbon, Audioquest Cinnamon
Interconnect: Van den Hul Sub Hybrid
Speaker Cables: Audioquest Circular Array Series Type 8, Van den Hul Magnum Hybrid
Power Cord: PS audio power punch C7
Power Distributors: Supra Lorad

next upgrade:
1. dedicated AV surround sound preamp preferably with EQ
2. custom-made transmission line floorstander for front channel
3. add Bybee to centre channel + PIO caps

note: i am very dissapointed with audioquest speaker cables...they sound so thin, very noisy when played loud and accentuated highs..

his car setup:
Swift (krayden's gang..lol)

HU: Eclipse 8100
Preamp: audiocontrol (modded lv3)
Frontstage: mcIntosh MSS630 comps (modded passives)
Frontstage-amp: PPI old skool
Sub: JL Audio W0 10" with premium built enclosure
Sub-amp: PPI monoblock old skool
Cables: Stinger 4awg, Van den Hul Bay C5 Hybrid, Van den Hul CS122 Hybrid
Power filtering: Mundorf 1F , Mundorf Headcap X 4pcs
Distribution Block: Stinger Shockrome
Dampening: STP Gold
Automotive foam on A-pillar, door sills done by audio creations
*semi-rigid, closed cell, waterproof

the one i got (series 7):
http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/televis...tail&returnurl=

series 8:
http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/televis...tail&returnurl=

this is the highest end, the current samsung top of the line/flagship LED TV series 9:
http://www.samsung.com/au/tv/series9/design.html

unless ur getting mid/high end HD projectors thats easily 5 digits, with equivalent room space to accommodate, series 7 and above is more than you need for some really ass kicking entertainment smile.gif
to note: malaysia website (see why i link to australia rofl) does not officially bring in series 9, the RSP is 30k MYR, some higher end/big/long time standing shops got bring in and selling it at ~14-16k MYR with a lot of bundle/packages in conjunction to raya (goto desa home theatre at fajar shopping complex or lowyat plaza to see one for urself lol)

the last meetup we had i was still jobless IINM, however not long after that i join maxis, on their system operations. 24x7 standby, average working hours/day is between 10-12 hours, which time to time also includes working sats and/or sundays, and even doing night jobs which lasts all the way till morning and/or non stop from day job which till date i've managed a 22 hours non stop working day. (24+ was my highest on the previous job, f*** iphone 4, f*** apple)

tldr: f***ing stressful as hell, more so when i know nothing about telco as i was educated and started work on IT. but hey, pay is good, and im young to take up the challenges, why not? right? (and yes i really mean it when i say im still very young whistling.gif )

OMFG damn awesome ICE TT session with LYN members krayden and bafukie. furhter gained a lot of knowledge on ICE biggrin.gif

oh lol i just realized theres a slight typo XD
lazy delete and retweet lol

and apologies again sifufat bafukie for mistakening ur nick tongue.gif

on TT's like this where you get to audit to the fullest extent, always have to deal with the insane dilemma that gets built up after the sessions:

on the one hand, its sessions like this where you can expand your knowledge about ICE, no doubt its required if you're serious about it

on the other hand, sure is tough warding off the inevitable poison you'll get especially when you've decided to fully stop upgrading, or your upgrade plans are still far away (say, 3 years give take? LOL)

and big thanks again for krayden for his time on sharing his setup, allowing me (and my friend!) to test out the system to its fullest extent!

more so when you're the first setup i have encountered that is serious on the bass, very invaluable to me as i've never get to test out ICE that does have a good balance between clarity and bass, or SQ/SPL (actually kinda not correct also rofl) if you will tongue.gif

and hey, at least i get to hear May'n's "Shinjitemiru" on a high end setup, which the last time i heard, was during AFA 2010 singapore helded back in... october/november 2010 AFAIK. its been 8+ months man, and the moment i get to hear it again is on a high end setup. quite a blessing i'd say biggrin.gif

and looking at her wiki, 1989, yah she younger than i am... and definitely earning way more than i am, such sad case lol

oh got youtube lol:

oh and lol they use double sided tape to tape the covers' insides. if fall off again they will screw tight lulz (they say it wont look good also, and i totally agree lol)
