i don't know how many of you iPad1 and 2 users out there already experienced ipad hang or not...but i have encountered 2 times already in 1 mth !!!

everytime i have to press the power and home button to force hard reset....

let me see if anyone here never encounter this issue before or is it a normal thing?

mine hang for 2 - 3 times already since after I jailbreak.

Is it because I have Activator + Winterboard + Multitasking gestures ON + 193 applications?

mine never hang, however last month before JBed my iPad 2, I was too rajin and create folder to arrange my games icon and apps separately, after that when I tried to sync my iPad 2 with iTunes, it detected some problem and advise for a restore to be done.

done a restore, it took like forever, and my Other folder size is more than 12gb. I decided to reset back my iPad 2 and since then there is no problem, it's been around 3 weeks now after I JBed there is no problem at all. it works flawlessly. at the moment I only install SBSettings from Cydia, for easy access of Wifi and to reboot my iPad 2 :0

iPad have the same concept of any normal PC system...there's CPU, RAM, HDD, MoBo, Display, etc..etc...only different is the OS...it will freeze/hang if memory full...JB or not still same...all depend to how many applications running...memory used...all that BS...thats why mr. job have the multitasking on the ipad introduce..

my ipad 1 over 1 year old (first batch), 1 time froze b4 JB, froze 3 times after JB, froze 1 time after update to 4.2.1...so total 5 times..

a little tip: restart your ipad whenever u can...at least once a month...

well... did apple claim their OS/hardware will not have bluescreen/hang like Windows or not?

on the iOS...starting 4.2...the multitask was introduce..they said the ipad will automatically end unused apps in order the clear the memory..hence avoid freeze/hang...

in my opinion, the iOS is stable enuf, most of the time, the apps are the main culprit...

looks like the hang/freeze issue is quite normal since a lot of ppl voted that they do encountered this... hehehe...

I think the ipad will only hang on those jailbreak device, those still running on original, it won't hang no matter how you do it, I have tested myself.

I have never had this problem since I got my iPad 1 last August, not even once.

So far my iPad and iPhone did not hang before, even if it does happen it's definitely other apps that are causing it most of the time.
