Gen-X, appreciate if you could advise me the best credit card to choose from

1. Annual Income: RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: Listed according to my priority.

a) Local/Overseas Online Shopping at eBay etc (Mostly Overseas shopping, so a card that is internationally recognised would really help)
b) Bills (Celcom, Unifi, TNB)
c) Shopping at Giants/Tesco/local groceries etc,

4. Existing credit cards if any:
a) Maybank 2 Cards - Master + Amex

Special request Gen-X, hope you could suggest a number of credit cards in a ranking according to your recommendations based on highest CL, cashback/rebates etc as I 'd like to have as many credit cards as possible.

Thanks a lot.

hahaha, you also got some kind of fetish with Credit Card Credit Limit like rockefeller ar  tongue.gif Currently, you already have the best cash back credit card for local transaction, i.e. Maybankard 2 AMEX where you can earn 7.5% returns on Saturdays and Sundays  biggrin.gif Click here to see a comparison table of cash back credit cards.

Bro, you left out one important info, that's how much you spend a month, But with income RM36K, I guess you should not be spending more than RM2K/month.

Since you already have the MBB2 Cards, you should get the OCBC Titanium MasterCard where you can earn 5% cash back everyday for your Celcom, Unifi and TNB Bills plus also at Giant and Tesco. This OCBC TMC compliments any credit cards out there.

For overseas transaction, your MBB MasterCard should be adequate (based on your annual income eligibility). Go check out MBB 2 Card Thread Post #2 where jchong have taken the trouble to show the diff between Amex and MC. But if you want to know; IMHO, the best credit card for Overseas Transaction is the Maybank Visa Infinite where you are sure to earn money from it. Click here to read about the benefit of Maybank Visa Infinite.

As for CL, as mentioned in the first post, we not the bank and therefore won't be able to tell you how much CL will be assigned to you. However, if you want to know my CL ranking, I have posted previously posted in my article titled Malaysia Credit Card Annual Income and Credit Limit. The article was posted exactly 1 year ago, therefore, since then my CL have changed too. If you use your credit card often, the banks will increase your CL with time and if you really need high CL, go get AMEX Charge Card.

Can't be grateful enough for this info, thanks again Gen-X smile.gif

Oh btw I forgot to mention that I am also required by my company to travel overseas as well soon. Therefore, any recommendations of credit card that is widely accepted everywhere? A good cashback/rebates etc is a bonus.

This is because some of my relatives happened to have their cards declined for shopping/dining etc when they are abroad.
