D/l-ding the client is a pain as well, even on Unifi. Launcher client keeps freezing and need to re-start every once in a while.

Ok, so which server to find most M'sian, APAC players? Definitely need to plan ahead for the multi-player required content in future (just like WoW when it launched). I hope they don't charge for server migrations later ><

Btw, how are you guys paying for the subscription? Game card?

Do you have to setup a subscription before you can play or the 30days comes with the box/key purchase and after 30 days only you need to setup a subsription?

Ooo...suddenly see a lot of lightly populated servers. I take it it's becoz it is off-peak time for US/EU?

The servers should be reporting number of characters created to avoid new players going to heavily populated servers OR are they ?

Not necessarily yellow...but 300+ms pings kills in PvP. Unless SW: TOR is different somehow.

Yeah, you can start d/l without active subs/game code.

Btw, I'm in on Dark Reaper - Jedi Consular and Nadd's Sarcophagus - Bounty Hunter. I guess that's the defacto m'sia/sea server? Haven't really talked to anyone in game yet tho.

At the launcher, login with your swtor id & pw. The client will start d/l once you do this. Go register at www.swtor.com

Can wait I suppose, but there's a lot of holidays and long weekends coming up for working adults like me, those are valuable gaming time.

If you're talking about latency, it's always going to be a problem since all the servers are in US/EU, but by all accounts here and elsewhere, looks like the pings aren't so bad. I think it's similar to when WoW started and there was no SEA servers. I'm playing on Dark Reaper (US West PvP) and it seems ok. I don't know how to see the latency or fps but there is generally no stuttering, skipping frames or rubber banding that I can see. Only problem I have is with graphical glitches (tearing, green light) on my old ati5850. Overall a satisfactory experience but mind you, I haven't grouped or tried the flashpoints/operations (raids) yet. Only tried 2 man instance so far.

I'm on Unifi10 btw. Tried to login over Celcom 3G, game won't allow me to login. Dunno why.

That's the last big chunk iinm. After that its a couple more small patches and you should be done. Problem is, today is server maintenance lol. Pray you're done before 4pm if you want to have a looksee before they end early access grace period and start subscription access.

Seamless as far as I can tell, at least on the starter worlds. Even entry into instance/group content is seamless. There's just a green(open)/red(closed) portal indicator but you can see inside the cave/room. Hardly any loading screens other than at login/logoff.

Looks like it. Server down. Although I understand it'll only be a 30min downtime.

I suggest looking at the beginning of this thread and in the FB links and decide from there. Seems people are fragmented on many servers. Some going for lightly populated servers to avoid queing problems.
