i use avplayer for my ipad

avplayer unable to play rmvb video smoothly, the video and audio will out of sync.

i use AVplayer, RMVB works fine and i think yes, i observe once a while video/audio out of sync...but otherwise, AVplayer rocks !

in fact i bought both for iphone and ipad HD version.

oplayer HD for iPad can also played mkv files.

1 downside of AVplayerHD is when doing backup it itunes will think the video in AVplayer is part of application files which if you have 20gb will take ages to finish

darktenno, really? i don't think so....i uploaded many video files but once it's in, it won't resync again kua... for me, the sync process quite fast...because u don't need to sync for aV Player....just drag and drop the files....

I mean Itunes backup not sync files to ipad , when you connect ipad to pc/mac itunes will make full backup imagine making backup of 30GB of data it will take quite some time to finish

think it depends on the video i guess

i usually play avi and mkv

rmvb ive played only one video *uhum*uhum* ... that one dont really need audio and video to be sync-ed haha ... but the audio and video is sync-ed for that

anyway it works fine for me for avi and mkv.

+1 , 720p avi/mkv work fine just 1080p mkv does not but 1080p avi work like a charm something about the container of the mkv for 1080p that avplayer can't handle

think the highest reso i've played is 720p vids

havent tried 1080p. dont see the need for such a high reso for a small device .. plus waste space

im quite content with AVplayer. although im interested to try Oplayer. but they both look like they're having the same interface.

If rmvb, better convert to mp4, av player cant handle well rmvb

I am using 迅雷( the download software) to convert, it has setting for ipad on low, normal and hd definition to choose from. Its a small plugin, u can find in xunlei's 应用。

If u cant understand chinese, then download Format Factory, its free programs to convert. There are 4-5 types of mp4 to choose from, but only one type works for ipad. (the lowest type in rank, can choose low, normal and hd too.)

if you still wan a converter try google "free studio" so far best free software i ever know ....

Wah, this video converter, took me 5hours++ just to convert a rmvb movie to ipad format, this is really ridiculous to ask us to convert the movie file in such a slow speed, would rather whatch it without convert, still hopeful that someone will create a player that can play most of the video format smoothly.

Avidemux can convert videos in 5mins. It basicly doesnt really convert the video, it just change the audio codec to AAC & wrap the whole video into mp4. which means quality wise still maintain

Go google "Avidemux Ipad 2" for tutorials(i dont wanna post links here, nnti kena flame worr)

Im are using Sothink video converter its easy can converted all format hd to ipad , xbox 360,ps3 and etc..
