For all new Myvi owner, this is something I noticed for ICE lovers, who would really treasure the trunk space. As we all know, Myvi don't really have a boot for storage.

Some people just like bass to blend into their music, without too much until boom boom boom....

Yet realize that a small 10" active sub, still do not provide enough bass that they like...

Saw this item from this fler shop...

These active subs, come with 2 x10" woofer. It way out-performs the small under-seat subs, yet do not take up the space of your boot, because it has to be installed face-down.
... not sure about the pricing, you guys better ask the shop owner.

I think the manufacture kind of understand the heartache of Myvi owner, the thing fit in the trunk space...Just nice~

OK
here comes my first question for new thread.

What is the normal RPM position when the engine just started?Below 1?

Added on July 26, 2011, 10:52 amWhich one should I go first?

-change sport spings
-Sound

Tight budget cant change both at the same time.

Thanks
*
Myvi, changing the sound would be a headache... You always need extra to buy the bracket or casing for new HU/new speakers.

Unless, you would just prefer to change the speakers and maintain it at the current position.

But for HU, the new casing will definitely be required.

Actually I am not a fan of changing spring, I would prefer just to change the absorber will do. A fan of performance more than look.

Would suggest, if you want to change spring, better change absorber together... At least your absorber can absorb the bouncing better.

this is installed at the top part of back of the car (the boot)?
*
Top part?

It is lay on the Myvi boot floor, face downward. So you won't have boot space issue, while you can still enjoy your music lor .....

thanks ! any idea which brand is most commonly used by stock user ? kyb , apm etc? thanks a lot  icon_rolleyes.gif

If it is too bouncy, then most likely the absorbers are oil type.

Changing to gas type will get a firmer ride, but some do say harder and less comfort ride. Personal preference...

I'm using SACHS, got it from kobe10. Worth every penny.

Its Gab sport spring.
Someone from lyn.
I was there for APM actually but no me stock so no choice just try gab spring.
What if 5 person in car?
Will make my piping bocor?
Felt so sad everytime heard that sound

Added on August 9, 2011, 10:54 amFront only left 2fingers space.
Rear is like 2.5 fingers.
Myvi se btw...
*
It is like that bro, because you have lowered your ride with the absorber taking all the pressure. The sound should be due to the absorber hitting to the end only.

Actually it is nothing, just the sound only and your absorber will kong faster only. Depend on how you drive, 1 year should kill the absorber.

You should have paired it with another aftermarket absorber, then you will not feel what you are feeling now.
Since you are on GAB spring, then after this can match with GAB absorber.

BTW, I think your Myvi look very garang now. biggrin.gif I always fancy lowered ride, but my buttock cannot take it.

Hey guys I'm planning to change my car's absorber to APM Performax. Is it good? Or should I stick to standard APM absorbers? Using 15"rim btw..

Thanks biggrin.gif:D
*
Performax if not mistaken, is short stroke. If short stroke, but you are not on sports spring, then the absorber will kong faster.

You should look for normal length absorber, maybe you can try SACHS~ Standard OEM replacement but gas filled.

biggrin.gif I had the same experienced too. I changed it back to ori. You can keep it and use it when you are ready to change absorber.

Need to pay again for the changing, sigh.
Can do it in any mechanic or must go exhaust shop?
*
Anywhere also can change, tire shop would be best so that they can do alignment for you afterward.

btw, choice of exhaust shop for spring change is kind of weird.... biggrin.gif

any ICE myvi enthusiasts here? want to ask where u guys do your door panel?
I've been talking, hunting, finding where to custom make my door panel.
haih myvi -.-! why must your speakers be on the dashboard.
and if I made my door panel 6.5" so it cant fit 6" speakers anymore lo?
*
Try ICE section - mr.wong. But I don't think it is cheap. Anyway, not that hard to find one kua...

Got 6" size speaker ah? 5.25" size also can change to 6.5", not a big deal though.

why are the Sony cd players are like underrated? I see nobody sells it in here. lol. Is sony that bad? o_o
just a question tongue.gif
btw, still finding a installer to do my door panel. lol. Howie, wong or KF aih.
*
Sony is not that famous, mainly due to its product range looks cheap and very well known made in China. Not because they are made in China, but due to the low quality they are offering. Also Sony players have this common problem of not able to play pirated CD, guess you should have heard of it too.

Your door panel? Survey around la... If me, I sure go somewhere near my house and of course have to be a good one. Convenient ma.

You might want to try Howie, since he now got his "Raya Sales" thingy going on... have no idea what is on sale, but might be dropping by soon as well, I want to change my drivers.
