RM90 clean throttle body is ok lo..so bad my PE cant tune one lo wat is ur car mileage nw?

Sorry to barge in like that guys, but I just happen to come across this post. Just some clarification note here, I do it for half the price and this is not related to any advertising alright.

Putting a used spark plug in before performing threebond is pointless. I really do not understand how do you 'short circuit' a spark plug, when the function of a spark plug is to PRODUCE SPARK BY SHORT CIRCUITING the positive electrode to the ground, to produce spark.
The black plugs would be a result of carbon residue from the throttle body, intake manifold and intake valves and will clean up over time after a few cycles of the engine running.

I have NEVER faced any problems with these 'shorted plugs' before in my 1000 cars of cleaning .

I have very little idea of how the throttle body cleaning process is carried out.. Perhaps the mechanic use his own spark plugs to prevent carbon residue buildup on the client's spark plugs? Maybe he's the perfectionist type of mechanic that wants everything to look clean & shiny before putting back all the bits together? What are the effects of carbon residue collecting on the spark plugs anyway?

Hi all, I have a few questions regarding PE. Hopefully experts here can clear my doubt.

1) If I were to maintain my car's warranty, do I need to send my car to Proton SC for 15k km service (i.e. 25k, 35k etc)? I noticed they cop at the back of my service booklet for my 15k km.

2) Does changing to performance air filter and spark plugs void my car's warranty? How about using own lube (assuming the proton SC allows me to bring own lube)

3) My PE is one of the earliest batch (I bought when it's just launched). One morning I couldn't start my car. After trying a few times (step on gas pedal and let off, then crank), it worked...the rpm was low..and engine chocking like no air. I stepped on the gas pedal and it's OK afterward...but the "check engine" icon on the dashboard lightened up. I drove to an authorized SC immediately and they diagnosed the ECU. They told me to go main Proton SC to upgrade my ECU firmware. Anyone of you faced this problem before?

Do u know what's a camshaft? A hi/mild/street-cam have slightly different degrees on the lobes that pushes the inlet & exhaust valves as to advance/retard the valve timing.

Camshaft = good for manual cars. For auto, might face problems during installation & car might not be able to idle smoothly after installing, & engine may choke all the time.

ACP = Can be used for both manual & auto, but the effects are very minimal unless paired with hi-cams.

Idle at higher rpm lo. Around 1.2-1.5k RPM. FC also go up. But WHP gains high lo..

Ok talking bout the discovery i made somewhere around last week...

As we all know that Caltex is very good for high speed driving (above 3.2k RPM) and also gives a very smooth and quiet engine..

Esso gives the best overall balance of power and economy.. The low end torque (below 2.5k RPM) is slightly better than Caltex, giving faster acceleration in traffic jams and slow moving traffic, and better FC than Caltex..

Petronas is very good for driving below 2.8k RPM.. With the best FC among all petrol brands, but its low end torque and high end power is lacking compared to the above 2.. 

So what I did the other day was I went and mixed 55% Petronas with 45% Caltex.. Voila, I have never got a better town driving FC that that!! My FC was consistently below 8L/100km... Rarely above it.. and on highway cruising at around 120kmh it was only 7.6L/100km.. But the best thing about it is the engine is very very smooth, and the acceleration was the smoothest and the best i ever experienced.. 

After that i did the same mixture for Esso and Petronas.. Engine was rather smooth but not as smooth as Caltex + petronas, but low end torque was lacking, I had to shift down whenever i wanted to accelerate a bit faster or go up a small hill.. But the FC was even better! I was averaging around 6.4L/100km when travelling a 80kmh.. and in my normal daily routine of going around town and old klang road i got an FC of 7.5L/100km.. 

As u all know the best FC i had   so far is with Esso and with the same routine im only able to achieve around 8.2-.8.5L/100km at best..

So u all go try it and give some feedback.. See if it suits all car..

Btw the Castrol Edge Sport 0W-40 engine oil is really good.. Even better than Magnatec.. My engine is very quiet and smooth.. The IAFM like issue was gone, so that means its the tappet noise that was actually creating all the havoc under the bonnet. Cold engine start didnt have any problems at all too.. All those standard dashboard rattling is gone and the car now feels very noisy due to wind and tire noise instead of the engine and rattling..    

Mobil has quite good review for continental cars.. But not sure if its good for our car..
Eneos quite ok lah.. No bad review.. All good ones so far.. Honda is using Eneos as its approved engine oil..
Sumo also not sure.. The brand is too fresh..

Yup. Get RapidStop.. It will solve the problem..
Most people with B-line and M-line persona will have braking efficiency problem
Dude.. Make sure after 5k you change the engine oil..
The engine oil inside the engine will reduce during first 5k mileage..
Make you keep checking the engine oil level..
Btw, I got good news! New persona will come with 1.6L CPS with turbo 
Just adjust the height and dont adjust the left or right
If not, you will regret
