I have a question about quality.

I experienced one case of SPS product. When I drills holes on the wall, they are hollow and powdery ( not even sand ! ).

Will the developer accepts this as defect ?

I sold the property already, so now it's not my problem. blush.gif

I asked just in case I encounter that in the future. Will have a case against the developer if I face the same thing again.

Unlikely, and even if they will, what would u expect them to do? Tear down the whole wall and build again.

Like I said, many developers are using this method to save cost.

I am not even talking about Tahan properties, using cardboard / newspaper to replace bricks.

Just using less sand, cement, more water, already can save lots of $$$ and like I said, u will know when u drill the wall

This was told to me also by many contractors who do renovation immediately after VP

Sometimes, owner even tear down some new walls and rebuild, esp for say wet kitchen, corner lots, etc

Sad but so common ....

The one I encountered was the bathroom. I was trying to install a towel hanger. Not one hole, almost all holes drilled on the wall were like that. It's hollow and dusty.

With this kind of wall, one can expect nothing to hold strong to the wall.

I just hope I don't get that in the future. I think not only SPS will cut corners on the wall quality, other developers will do the same.

You know these days it's common for people install big screen their 40" or even 60" TV onto the wall. If the wall quality is bad, the TV will not hold to the wall, it will fall down like durian.

all developers are the same, somewhere , someplace they will cut corners.. depends on what you pay, SP setia projects are famous for expensive price but low quality products, their reputation itself already cost you money..

Hello, not sure anyone still concern about SP Setia-Eco Cascadia or already buy one.

For me, i am damn disappointment & frustrated with SETIA and regret that i didnt see this forum earlier.

I bought and havent moved in then now is doing renovation and SETIA HOUSE IS A DISASTER.

1, Customer service reply super slow and keep drag me. Keep say is miscommunication and one simple fixed drag 3-4 month to complete and end up i give up and pay myself to touch up

2. The inner of the house have MOSS! YES,MOSSSSSSSSS!! not outside the house is inside the house! after i ask them fixed, i think their contractor sabotage my lock and kick the wall as i complained few times to office because they just show face 30 min then gone but the defective area still unfixed and i need write email n calling again which takes me 3 month to settle!

3. now the third floor ceiling have a hole and leakage water due to the heavy rain. my contractor go up to the roof top and discover ALL THE SCREW ARE RUSTED AND LOOSE. THE TILE MIGHT BE BLOW OFF ANYTIME WHEN WINDY AND LOTS HOLESSSSSSSS!! They shut me by telling me my warranty is expired on 2017 and i need to pay myself! telling me i should inform them before expiry. i explain to them that under normal circumstances who will pay to go roof top to inspection as the house is brand new and only 2 years old house!! they keep yelling say warranty expired but it expired dec17 and now is 2018 and who will expect the roof top rusty until like tat, right?!

Anyone facing this like me ? Anyway to ask Setia to pay? I need to pay RM2k myself to fix all the rusty screws and holes!

ANYONE WHO WANT TO BUY THE SP SETIA HOUSE, PLEASE RECONSIDER 3-4 TIME OR CHECK FROM ROOF TOP TO GROUND FLOOR BEFORE WARRANTY EXPIRED!!

Desperately need someone help how to get setia pay due to poor material used!!!

wah super silicone to seal gap. lol.
silicon rarely last.
those would be major weak point for seepage and leakage to occur.

if want build a case, it's all back to s&p, if s&p specifically mention type of material they use, but in reality, they use diff material, can file for case.

the workmanship looks bad, but then again that's the unfortunate reality of a lot of projects in Malaysia, including those by reputable developers because in the end, it's done by bangla and indons

the main problem was that from a legal point of view, they don't have to fix these issues because the 2 years are up. however, if you can kick up enough fuss about it.. they might still do it to prevent further damage to their reputation
