As for Wow, I stopped playing a few weeks after Ulduar was released...

1st, arthas is dead and highlord bolvar turned into new embodiment for lich king, cuz there will always be a overmind... i mean... lich king...

so, Tirion Fordring had statues erected in the center of dalaran to commemorate the day where lich king *supposedly perished* in the peak of icecrown citadel, and somehow he forgotten the last words his pal highlord bolvar and imbued the statues with moment starting from arthas demise to the scene where bolvar told Tirion 'to forget him and never mentioned about what happened there' (well, everybody who clicked had seen it... great... Tirion's stupidity is incurable...)

as time passed Chuck Norris got bored about all his cool facts being recycled over and over again in barren chat and he farted. the power of that fart whecked both barren and stranglethorn into 2 zones, and scared a dragon aspect (deathwing) out of his hiding place. the toxic gas (contains hydrogen, helium and methane) managed to reignite ragnaros

things not going well on the horde side... the toxic-fart-gas killed cairne bloodhoof and made thrall (who also inhaled the gas) left his 'warchief' post to emo garrosh due to his increase of horny-ness for orc wiminz instead of hume wiminz (poor jaina...) as the effect from the gas...

as for the alliance side, the gas petrified magni bronzebeard but the foul smell managed to wake up furion stormrage from his slumber. well, the king of stormwind still suffers from split personality disorder (roll an alliance toon and click him for few times, he'll say something like, 'i'm lo gosh, i'm also varian')...

(the interim for the story would be terran confederates abducted few taurens for their space-science project by gearing them up with power suits in attempt to combat zergs but rumors said they managed to break out from the facility...)

now the game is quite boring unless ur on hardcore guild for FL HM or serious RBG/Arena

after 85 .

PVE
u need about 1 weeks to get from Green questing gear to full 346 (to be able to Que for Zandalari dungeon)
u need 1 more weeks to get to full 353 gear by doing ZA/ZG only
both also depends on drop rate , if ur lucky maybe few days can get all gear.

after 353 theres gear available from raid / valor pts / profession

basically u can easily get to 365+ il in less than 1 month

PVP
u need less than 1 week to get full 371 Vicious gear (except the weapon/offhand/relic) those are 359

after u get full honor gear and if u got good arena/rbg group going then u can easily get to 3k conquest points cap per week

p.s i also just came back from 7 month break, and its somehow quite easy to geared up

Is cata short? considering the cap is only +5 more.
Does it last as long as WOTLK or BC?
