Both AECO Malaysia sets & local (MY/SG) set are able to download maps & firmware update. AP or Overseas set can only update maps and firmware on the country they purchase, also the JVC, lane assist features only support in their home country.

Both version are identical interms of hardware, software and updates as well. Only difference is warranty by which supplier.

Battery life is very depending on how you use it and the settings, eg brightness.
