Hey guys, im currently studying in Sydney and im looking to get a new Mercedes Benz C250 coupe by the end of the year.
It'll probably cost around 80k AUD after all the extra features and perks.
I would actually like to know the costs of maintanence and also on insurance cause im pretty sure it depends on age and car right? im 20 this year.
and also would someone mind explaining to me how their insurance work here? like as i get older, it'll be cheaper?

Im also planning to bring the car back to KL after im done in about 3-4 years? as i know it qualifies for the lowest tax bracket <1800cc. anyone has an idea of how much would it all cost for me to get this car home?

i've tried searching and counting myself but the numbers never turn out right!

this is the price i got from mercedes australia's website.

Manufacturer's List Price
including GST $69,900.00
Recommended maximum dealer delivery1
including GST $2,500.00
Luxury Car Tax (LCT) $0.00
NSW Total Registration2 $1,029.66
NSW Registration $486.00
NSW CTP2 $543.66
NSW Stamp Duty $2,720.00
Drive Away Price
Base model featured only. $76,149.66

would really appreciate it if anyone can help me notworthy.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks! rclxms.gif

I've counted it on the comm bank website and its $360 a month for the full coverage. Is that normal or am I paying a shit load more than what every other normal car/driver is paying?
Also, would it possible for me to pay upfront cash for the insurance and get a discount? like the sum of the whole year.

I've considered parking but because Im up north and place to park around here arent expensive and I dont really go to the CBD that often and if i do, i'll almost always be with my friends so splitting on parking charges is also an option.

Yeah i've actually checked alot about the car before i decided and its around RM300k for a standard C250 without the add ons and im getting the coupe which is not released yet in malaysia but im estimating it'll cost around RM360k standard without the add ons. I got the price through comparing the prices of the E250 and E250 coupe cause the difference is pretty much the same here also.

So im guessing that it'll cost around 100k to actually bring the car back by then? which puts it on an almost same price as Malaysia. and hopefully the australian dollar drops tongue.gif which i doubt will happen!

thank you so much for your help! notworthy.gif

Its a rough estimate i got because i have no idea how to count the freakin tax!
