Hey folks!

I need advise on the followings:

1. I'm taking: English/Math/Geog/ Economics / Globalisation as of now. Do you think this is a good combination and will allow me to score well ? (Apart from handwork and stuff.)

2. I'm in the midst of aiming for: University of Melbourne / University of B.Columbia / & universities in UK.

What are my chances of entering to the above with MUFY?

I'm planning to take Law / Business / Social Science / Psychology. (Order of preferences)

Many thanks for your replies!

Have a GREAT DAY ahead! (:

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for all your replies!

1. Yes, I understand that going to the Top 5 UK Unis is never easy. I guess I'll go there only if I do exceedingly well in my degree.

2. Canada law degree is not recognised in Singapore/M'sia. I have plans on going to UBC to do business/psychology/(whatever) if I fail to get into law in Oz.

3. I REGRETTED transferring from Ontario (Canada) to Melbourne. I have a friend who got an average of 65 for his OSSD and was offered law in Uni of Aberdeen.

Having an OSSD is very easy to get into the Canadian's Unis.

However, I dislike the school that I was attending back in Canada.

Going to UBC is partly influenced by the reputation , nice environment and most importantly, Linda Chung studied there before biggrin.gif

Is the 'new generation' degree style good? I know the N.American Unis are following the 'new generation' degree and Uni of Melb is currently doing that too. I find it a waste of time. (esp if you were to do law.)

Any comments?

For law: get into an Oz unis , do well and move on to UK for further law studies.

For business: get into UBC/UniMel/Syd/ANU , do well and move on to London School of Economics.

Wells, at least that's my goals and plans.

Would really appreciate if folks here can guide me to achieving my goals.

Another bread and butter issue now is the courses that I'm taking in MUFY.

I seriously wonder if EL/Math/Geog/Globalisation/Economics will enable to score a high final MUFY marks as compared to combinations like : EL/Math/Globalisation/Economics/Accountings(IT)

Assume equal amount of handwork are put into the above courses. Reason why I'm thinking this way is that for Geog/Global and stuff , they're subjective marking and may vary as compared to Acc/IT.
