Anyone using this shocks absorber? I'm thinking of pair it with Eibach Pro-Kit but I'm wondering will the ride become more harsh after install them? My ride is 2010 Toyota Corolla Altis.

Another issue would be the warranty. I heard that Koni is distribute from Singapore and no warranty for Malaysian, is that true?

Thanks.

as the name explains, the ride will be harsher..

normally best combo for Koni Yellow Sports is Eibach Pro Kit..

just get it from the authorized dealer, HOKOMOTO Batu Caves..should have warranty i guess..

but mind you, it is not cheap..Koni+Eibach combo will price almost the same as coilover set..

Yea I've just called up Kenneth from Hokomoto, he also mentioned that Eibach Pro-Kit is the best pair with Koni Sport so far. My ride is now running with Eibach Pro-Kit and I find out it not really work very well with stock spring, but look wise my ride looks really beauty with this lowered spring.

Kenneth also mentioned that they will cover 6 months of warranty. If after the warranty period and the absorber got leakage, they got supply ONE piece of shocks instead of one pair.

For Civic FD2, Kenneth said the price will be RM2550.

Adjustable? You mean coil over? Koni "Yellow" Sport is also considered as a adjustable absorber but it is semi type.

The adjustable shocks will come with spring & you are able to adjust the ride height. The coil over is for you to adjust the dampener's stiffness right?

I see, shocks that come with spring one usually they mention to me is so called "coil over".

But that one my mechanic said it will be stiffer than the separated spring and shocks.

By the way, since there's no better solution to improve the comfort, I might wait for FSD to be available for my vehicle. Now there's issue for FSD user in Malaysian road which they claimed not-so-suitable-for-Malaysian-road, easily wear and tear.

the very first time i installed a set of FSD on the mazda6, we brought it for a test drive around the jalan belakang round the workshop. I was like... "wtf? why soft like stock absorbers?'

Little did I know... when we brought it down the highway. It got stiff and nice biggrin.gif

FSD if got mechanics that knows how to service it, it will be a good buy..

otherwise, will make a big hole in your pocket when it 'kong'..

afaik, 1 FD owner wanna install FSD for his ride..but Hokomoto said, not suitable for our road condition..

That is the reason why Desmond Chong from KL Auto recommend me that absorber for my vehicle.

Yeap, Hokomoto recommend me to get Koni Sport, which can make our vehicle more harsher even in soft setup. Maybe I'll wait FSD to be available for my vehicle first then check with Hokomoto whether they have 6 months warranty and able to buy only ONE shocks when one of it break down.

I heard them talk abt this too. Anyone can offer their insights on the Koni FSD vs the Koni Yellow sport? Specially those who have been using the FSD for some time? Thanks notworthy.gif
