Two days ago, I used a plastic covered the water exist on the bathroom to see any leaking.

Normally the total have 2 level of step, one is bath area and another is entry area (near basin). When the water filled up low level that nothing happen, but once it on the upper level (almost 4 cm), the water start leaking to my ground floor.
I suspect that possible due to one of the wall tile is having some hole which cause the leaking as I see from other side of the wall (brick) area those water are leaking.

So when I call up the tile specialist and understand the most of the house didn’t have proper water proofing on the wall area beside the floor. Hence to repair it, it need to hack / water proof the wall and re-tile back, which may cause 3K. But he also indicated that can just leave (ignore) as it, as it real life why someone will close the exits water hole and fill up the toilet with water

Any work around? Or can we use cement or water proofing material to refill the gap in between those tiles ? or any way without hacking it?

Water flowing thru once reached a level and guess should be some way at the wall tiles. I try today again and once the water reach an level than it will start flow thru from the wall to the Grd floor leaving room.

At least now confirmed is not the concreate slap, so will try to put cement to stack those wall tile and see whether solve the problem or not....

That the problem...can't identified where, but will try to search again and inplace cement or water proofying

The cause could be from the WC as i try to identifier today...and cant think off where else, hence I just applled water proof on the WC gaps and the bottom level wall tile, will try next few days whether still problem or not

When the water reached the Green Level (The lower step), everything still OK
When the water about the Green Level and before Red Level, it still OK



But once Reach the Red Level, it start leaking and just like below


And I suspect could be from the WC

But I guess the Shower water will be causing problem either. Else for should able to see where the hole already.

Added on July 26, 2011, 11:49 amA contractor actually asking me to cement another side of the wall, the wall where the water leaking out from (second photo), than put water proof there.
Reason given is since the leaking only happen when the toilet fill up 4cm water, so no harm close off another side or let the water stay there, which will dry after few days.

Is this good?
* Till actually find where the hack leaking from...

Initial was thinking that my problem already solved after re-cement it (cement + water only) around the wall tiles gaps and the WC area...and I let the water fall up almost reach the door, and didnt find any leaking at all

I was some happy when didn't see any leaking sign of it, unfortunated after overnight (I leaved the water overnight), but end up those water out from other 3 wall, where water leaking from front door wall (above) and water mark on other 2 area. From those signed, noticed it was from Brick area instead of concreate (slap)...
ANy suggestion?

As currently my renovatin still on going, hence if worst than maybe just do it now, else will be difficult to get solve once moving in.

But looking on it, maybe should just ignore it?

Get a recommendation from a friend, and it seem like working as the leaking has been reduce a lot.

After applied 4 layer, now I safely get my plaster ceiling in place on the leaking are, and moved ON

It prove working for my situation and with only cost less than RM40, instead of hack off the whole floor or expensive solution.

WIll re-apply once I complete renovation and clean up the house on it again.

If not mistake it show at the label for best performance.. and able to last for 5 years once apply.
