indeed, but for one there won't be enough players to make up the team last night. and what OKS wanted was for the juniors to learn from the seniors, altho that kinda went nowhere. At least Subramaniam was quite solid and Daudsu had a good game.
*
i think daudsu was poor last night. Kalou practically sends to the substitute bnch in 30 minutes.

and i think wan zack haikal was subbed because of injury.

BTW... i will make it my mission to boo every Singaporean player tomorrow in between my chants towards Harimau Malaya. I dont care if they dont choose to be born as Singaporean or not. Tough luck la. They'll get over it.

For what ever reason Yossi Bennayoun was booed last night, i think it also unsettled the whole Chelsea team to Malaysia's advantage. And if i can find a way to repeat that vs Singapore i will do it.

Stadium football is different to tv football where we can actually effect to help our team. why waive that opporturnity to help our team but then kutuk kow-kow when our team dont play well?

in the end of the day die balik naik Malaysia Airline first class jugak. Takdela teruk sangat hidup dia.

close case.

KLIAV 2010 event promoter called me that i am one of the winner for the lucky draw and need me to attend the price giving ceremony at JW mariott ..

on 28th July 2011... tongue.gif.. yeah.. the day we will play Singapore at Bukit Jalil..

and i also recall that the day i went to the exhibition was also the day we had a friendly vs South Korea U23 afterwards at Bukit Jalil... 25th July 2010.

we won 1-0 off Safiq Rahim long shot so i really2 hope its a good sign.

BTW.. i am sooo going to the price giving ceremony wearing the NT jersey.

wow.. the first Malaysia thread ever where i am not the top poster... the last time i left this thread to go to Singapore yesterday morning, it was only page 9.

it was a pity that the defense made Singapore looks like Liverpool. But the good side is we are not dead and burried yet. to come back from 4-1 to 4-3 but only to concede more last minute really made a hell of emotional rollercoaster for the fans. This storyline is kinda eerily familiar to the Liverpool game. Even the fans have to dig deep to cheer after the 4-1 but dig they did and so did the players.

its not totally out of reach for us to win with2 goals at our fotress home with the right team from the start, provided we find asnwer to ...

1) Safiq Rahim replacement.
2) Alexander Duric
3) how to make Muslim Ahmad good
4) possibility of bringing Subra in.

Our swimmers, athletes, and basketball and other sport teams also need our supports. But where are we?
And picture paints a thousand words.
Tell me that isn't your reaction when you saw our team beaten tamely last Saturday.
*
i dont go and support them because those kinda of sports dont have the supporting culture that suits me. its a problem of the sport. not the althlete. to be consistent, its not like i ditch our local basketball team and then go gaga about the NBL. its not the case of the performance here. Nicol David is probaply the best woman player in squash history, but i cannot bring myself to go and support her at the vanue because i cannot understand the game...but as long as they are representing Malaysia, there will never be in my shit list....

its not possible to spread ourself to support all sports. what we can do is pick one where we can contibute the most, and support them unconditionally.

football carnivals are more like talent finding exercise. What we need to focus more is talent training exercise. where players are put at a proper place for a proper period of time with proper teachers to teach them proper syllabus.

Please take note that the champions of U-10 is PBNS (Persatuan Bola Sepak N9) team... They have started it, only people don't want to acknowledge...  But still it is a long way to go...

yeah.. things like this should be highlighted to attract awareness... i am sure there are a lot of parent out there who want their children to be taught by good teachers instead of learning by themselves on the field.

One of the things lamented in youth football circuit is the absence of a centralized syllabus as a backbone to coaching. Every center provide training to players using their own 'unique' experience. which is actually trial and error exercise and a learning curve for the part of the coaches themselves which take time to be right. A proper syllabus will help the coaches to start higher up on the learning curve.

Please guys.... Malaysia's match was never full house after the year of 2000 except for Final match only...
We don't have  a loyalty and strong fan base to support national team on normal match, pluss it is on weekday...

even on the AFF Cup weekend final, people can still queue at the counter before the match start.

There are some people just kick back and slump into their sofa, touch the remote at to tune to the Singapore vs malaysia the other day and sliently ask "Now.. what my county will do for me today.."....

While, there are one person who would travel 700 kilometer roundtrip just to hit plastic chairs in place of drums for 90 minutes. While we would hold our piss to avoid missing any second of the game so as not to waste any portion of the tickets the we sooo expensively bought, he voluntarily sat facing out from the field the whole time.
Never mind how swollen his palm is after 90 minutes (this singapore stadium plastic chairs are damn thick and hard. 100++kg ultras jumping on it for the whole 90 minutes did not even came close to break any of it).

LETS ALL GO TO BUKIT JALIL AND DO OUR PART.

Poor ticket sales for 2nd leg of S'pore-M'sia football tie

By Patwant Singh | Posted: 24 July 2011 2250 hrs

SINGAPORE: Singapore beat Malaysia 5-3 in their Asian Zone World Cup Qualifier at the packed 6,000-seater Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday night.

It was the highest scoring match between the teams in recent history.

The second-leg is on Thursday at the 85,000 capacity Bukit Jalil stadium in Malaysia.

But sadly only 358 tickets out of the 2,000 allotted to Singapore have been sold. Ticket sales which started on July 20 ended on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) said there could be some Singaporeans who might travel to Malaysia and purchase tickets at the stadium.

Metres away from the ticketing counter at Jalan Besar Stadium, a temporary stand has been set up, selling tickets and tour packages, which includes transport and lodging.

The operator has some 260 orders so far, and offers a reason for the slow response.

"This game play (is) on a weekday (and) there is a big problem, like children have to go school, so they (parents) have to arrange for somebody to send the children to the school and that kind of thing. But if it is played on a weekend, it's fine for more Singaporeans to join the package and to support the national team," said Akbar Hashim, organiser and project coordinator for Singapore Die-Hard Fans.

Akbar added that Singaporeans generally like to get their tickets at the last minute, so he's confident to sell his entire lot of 300 tickets over the next few days.

Despite the weekday issue, one ardent supporter is opting to bring his entire family - including wife, three kids and three brothers - for the experience.

"I have been supporting them since I was young; since Mokhtar Dahari that time, I go with my father. So I think yesterday was one of the best team, that I've ever watched them play," said Singapore football fan Muhammad Azman.

The fact that the match is being shown 'live' on TV could be another factor for fans reluctant to travel north to root for the team.

And many in the fraternity expect a tougher game for the Lions in Malaysia.

"Though they have scored five goals, they conceded three goals at the back because of silly mistakes. And because of the silly mistake, Malaysia will have an advantage with the away goals in the second leg," said Dinesh Nedumaran, who plays for the Home United FC U-16 Team.
