Dunno about you guys but so far Cyberjaya has been NATO (no action, talk only).

I hope SP Setia and the other developers can change this.

SP setia maybe cannot do anything. It is silicon valley of malaysia. So goverment has to attract more company to invest in cyberjaya. It has been like 15 years now? Still alotmof empty and not so many company has office in cyber. If gov can attract more company like google, facebook, apple, etc setup datacenter or rnd center or whatso ever in cbj ... This place can fly higher than klcc ...

In fact, there are already plenty of development since the past 2 years. Yes, there was a period in time that cyberjaya development was going very slowly. Firstly, they buidl quite some offices, then it took longer than expected time to get those occupy. The economy crises and tech bubble didnt help much, couple with the fact that government slowly giving away the MSC status to mroe and more locations. Of course, the developer should share partly of the blame. But even perfect developer need other factor to get things moving especially this was started off as a business and education district....

If everything work out well, starting from this years until the next 3 years, there are plenty of house/office/apartment/condo progressively being completed.

Wherever we are the equation is simple. Not enough people equals not much money to be spent on foods, shopping etc. Therefore no market for shopping malls, monorail etc. Try checking how many shops have closed down in CBJ due to not enough customer. one of my favourite restaurant there also closed shop, now located in PJ only.

Cyberjaya is only alive during weekday daytime. I stay in Puchong, but work in Cyberjaya for many years now and that's my observation. Night time and weekends daytime like driving through a ghost town. Given that land in KV is getting scarce, it's only a matter of time...but how long? That's the question.

There is not enough affordable housing in CBJ, there are already large centers for MNC like HP, IBM, SHELL and DHL operating there, of course if more MNC are coming to CBJ it will build critical mass required to build a city.

It is a vicious cycle, not enough residents will make it difficult for the shops to survive. And without amenities, people will prefer to stay in puchong, USJ, subang, kota kemuning, cheras, kajang and bangi. So CBJ will only have people during daytime but will be very quiet at night.

Let see how SP Setia handle it ....
