Milk is complementary after he reaches toddlerhood (after 1yo).

It could be a phase..or maybe you can try to put it in a sippy cup..he may drink it.

If he's putting on weight and active...i think it's not to worry. Of coz..consult your doctor for advise.

Once he reaches 1yo..you can try getting solids that can substitute the milk..like chamelion said..children yoghurt and cheese.

In fact...in terms of nutrients..it's best to get it from food. Milk..like i said it's complementary..if you are worried about his calcium intake - yoghurt, cheese and barley (i think) is good. DHA...go for fish.

I think you should be thankful that your son likes solids...and not a picky eater..which is very important as at this time you should encourage him to eat most of the food that we eat.

in terms of weight...if i'm not wrong..the increase would be very little now (compared to when they were babies). If he's active...and eat everything..(except drinking milk)..should be fine.

My son..at 1 phase at about 1yr 3 months..didn't want any other milk (besides breast milk, but i couldn't produce as much as before). So my mom gave him cheese and yoghurt..which he happily gobbled down. At about 1yr 6months..he was ok with milk again..and now takes powdered milk, fresh milk).

can babies drink chocolate milk?

chocolate milk is not advisable as it's full with sugar. I usually would give plain fresh milk (dutch lady/australian farmhouse) to my son when he reached 1yo.
