To Viber users, I would like to ask you some questions.

I am facing the following issue with Viber.

I am using Android 4.0.4 ICS on my Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman smartphone.

When I use Viber to call a person, if that person (the call recipient) answer my call, there is no problem. But, if that person reject my call, the status of viber call still "Ringing", and I did not hear any "busy tone".

I reported this issue to Viber through an online form. Viber team responded through email and said my phone model is not under the supported device list. The list of supported Android device can be found at http://helpme.viber.com/index.php?/Knowled...em-requirements.

I understand that Viber development team may not be able to test every Android devices. So, my question is that anyone of you facing same issue? If yes, is your device in the list of supported device?

I am just asking question. No offence.

@cshong -

Hi,
As you mentioned yourself, Viber unfortunately does not officially support your device (as written in the link you provided). This is probably the reason for the problem.

We hope to attend to more and more devices and test Viber on them officially in the future. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

That's why I am asking whether anybody using supported devices facing the same issues.

I would like to ask that when someone call us through viber network but we rejected the call, will viber on our phone send any acknowledgement to the server or caller's device to tell the server or caller's device about we rejected the call? Will the caller's device receive such acknowledgement?

In other forums, I found some users (including iOS user) facing the same problem.

Anyway, thanks for attending to my issue. But, if you can test whether my issues occur on supported device or not, I will appreciate.

For one of my Android devices, which I will only use for surfing internet and internet based calls, not GSM voice call, I am using Celcom Broadband on it. My Celcom broadband has a +601xxxxxxxx number and can be used for sending and receiving SMS, but not GSM voice call.

Before, that device can receive Viber activation code through SMS and activate Viber. After I perform factory reset and reinstall Viber, while that device can receive SMS from other people, but Viber activation code not received. I tried to perform activation yesterday, but until now the activation code still not received. Why?
