Just changed my HDD to 7200rpm..

well.. I must say, Im quite impressed with the acess of the backpanel, I could see the CPU and the chipset of the motherboard as well.

the Heatpipes are quite long as well.. But the heatvent is made of aluminum. If its made of copper, it would be much nicer.


Added on August 27, 2011, 12:07 amnot quite happy with the HDD being left 'naked' with the 'green' parts exposed.. they should probably make some kind of foil to cover it or something.

yea. but temperature wise, Im more worried with the GPU instead.. haha..

are those heatpipes long? compared to other 16 inches?

or is it just me that I havent been playing with 16 inch laptop for quite sometime.

Open the bottom panel and blow fan there, temp should be good..
hmm, have a feeling seen an Asus 15'' with that long of heatsink, but it only have one instead of three laugh.gif

did not see the ram slots when opening up.. lol. didnt think of upgrading..

from pic it looks like 2 ram slots only.. not sure max supported thou.

yeah.. was with u2 93 degrees peaked.

my U2 is placed in the general area along the heat pipes but its covered with backpanel with hole vents covering the heat pipes.

lol.. HD4670 was good performance graphics back then.. haha.. I guess AMD always run cooler than Nvidia..

Im not surprised it reaches 90C. lol

can the laptop turn on in "naked" state? it will be a lot less heat if you put the "butt naked" 620 on those chiplak Plastic cooler (metal conduct eletricity, might short the whole thing)

Yup..AMD always run cooler..=))!! 1 good point...but so far..i nvr burn any nvidia card..but i burn my HD3650>.< my usage is consider...kinda low usage d....
