Just stick to whatever you have for 4.3.3 and below to enjoy untethered jb till there is one for ios5.

no need to download back..just right click on ur device in itunes n click transfer purchase, after finish transfer purchase, open the apps tab on ur device and tick sync apps and click apply..this should solve ur problem..

Guys, need some help on signal issue again.

Unlocked? (or Part Number):  Unlocked, version 5.1.1(9B206) / MC131X
Current Firmware : 05.13.04
Current network: Maxis / Celcom
iTunes Version :10.6.3.25
PC/MAC : PC
Jailbreaking software : redsn0w_win_0.9.14b2

Problem Encountered :
My fren gave it to me, he did mention no signal on any carrier where he suspected something broken when he last dropped on floor. A fren (work as technician before) help me open up the phone and realign and clean up everything he can.

Not sure this iphone origin from where, maybe AUS or MY, cos my fren travel frequent on this two places.

So jailed break (redsn0w_win_0.9.14b2) and unlocked.

After JB, it work nicely. Can reboot, install apps like Cydia and Installous, play games, whatsapp (WIFI mode), FB.... basically.... 'Ipod touch'... T.T

One problem is, the signal for carrier is so unstable, it will go up and down. Hardly can make call, even it can call or recieve call, talk half way it will DC. I notice even in fullbar, when I try to call to the Iphone, it seems can't go in, 10 out of 7 time will not go in, but the carrier detect it's a miss call and send sms to the Iphone.

Steps Taken So Far :
- Disable all 3G and Cellular Data option
- Manaul select carrier.
- Reboot
- Using scotch tape on the sim. (<- i did look like idiot, right? T.T)
- Test using Digi, Maxis and Celcom.
- After all the JB process, my fren help me send to shop a which he work before. (Note:My fren not Iphone specialist) The guy at the shop said will need to change some chip, but he don't guarantee it as the fix might kill the whole thing. Means once change, if can use then it's alright, if not the iphone will fried or cannot be use again. (Sifu and technician out there, is this true?)

Other Information/Remarks :
So should I conclude it is hardware problem? My concern is after change, will it really fried the phone? If the chance are high, i rather keep it as a 'Ipod Touch'.... T.T
