Goods which are subject to excise duty include beer/stout, cider and perry, rice wine, mead, undenatured ethyl alcohol, brandy, whisky, rum and tafia, gin, cigarettes containing tobacco, motor vehicles, motorcycles, playing cards and mahjong tiles. Rates of duties The rates of excise duties vary from a composite rate of 10 sen per litre and 15% for certain types of spirituous beverages, to as much as 105% for motorcars (depending on engine capacity).

Go and google it up, on tax malaysia you can see how much you'll be taxed. It's by alcohol content, aka, beer taxed less than whisky (~5% vs ~40%).

Less than 1 liter then u wont kena tax. Avoiding tax can be considered smuggling. It's illegal and against the law.
