Probably nothing will happen to the liverpool fan. Man utd fan can just jeer them with ' What have you won recently?'
Face it liverpool fans, Liverpool is no longer considered a  credible rival. Standard already gone down. Forever playing in UEFA cup, and can't even come close to Top 3 in EPL. What rivalry?
Liverpool just jealous that Man Utd keep winning. Go Red Devils!.

You know what? I really love statements like these especially when they don't realise how much credit you're giving us. You can jeer us all you want but the fact that our support has never wavered all these years just reinforces the fact that our loyalty is 2nd to none. Let's see how many of your fair weather fans jump ship when you are no longer at the top.

Jealousy? LOL! Trust me, I'm anything but jealous. I support the club because of reasons other than pure achievement, something you won't understand of course.

blah blah blah. If we aren't credible rival, why the fook do you still keep talking about us? Dumb ass. Please bring on more intelligent mancs to participate is a debate.

much like how the G people up there is forcing their version of 'patrotism' to rakyat?

when i was younger, i use to work part time as the ticket collector at stadium merdeka. (short stint for selangor games mostly). while my residence postal code is in KL, i grew up admiring selangor state team. They had good & had a myriad of different malaysians reach.

but i grew tired of the shenanigans the malaysian football scene (nuff be said already). I use to play football & knew of a local lad who was very good & did tryouts for different states. He told me the ugly truths of our sad-state-of-affairs of our malaysian football. (mind you, he did eventually play for 1 team for 1 or 2 seasons in the malaysian league). I know that sad affair was to some, decades ago, but it brought down my regards for the local football scene completely.

I cannot relate much to our current malaysian squad. I thought there were hopes given some good showing by some younger players under K.raja. But the thing is, shoving such 'patriotism'in the name of "if you are malaysian, you MUST come support;  duh

it's like people ask why aren't your support all our goverment policies, arent you 'malaysian'?

I'm a Malaysian but that doesn't mean I'm lesser a Malaysian if you I dont support our Government policies. same parallel, If i don't attend a malaysian football game later, will I be lesser a malaysian?

Couldn't agree more with your post. I've had this discussion before but most of the time, you come across individuals with tunnel vision. I had a mate as well who used to play for Negeri Sembilan and he told me the ugly truths about corruption in the league. I admire and respect individuals who want to improve despite being in a disadvantageous position. The thing about Malaysian football is I didn't see any effort to improve.

Having said all this I think we're finally moving forward by relying less on state teams for youth development. I think getting the U-23 squad to play competitive matches is key and I think it's paying off now. The state FAs need to be relieved of their archaic practices. Here's an insightful article from Shebby. http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/opinion...r-ending-story/

Having said that, I think the national team is going in the right direction thus me following them of late.

QUOTE(kazuki85 @ Jul 19 2011, 10:11 AM)
Yea dukered, did you realize more and more other people are talking, trolling and bitter about us after the marvellous turnout at Bukit Jalil? lol

My friends can too brag all they want about their recent trophies and all, but I will never switch allegiance away from LFC. Talk about trophies, the trollers refuse to point out that we have more European cups than any other English teams. Blind haters they are biggrin.gif
*
There was an article written the other day (can't find it now) and it echoed what I've been saying all the time. Although we haven't won the league title in over 2 decades, we aren't exactly in the gutter. However in comparison with our more glamorous rivals, we have achieved little since we last won it. Now I accept that in football, we like to take the piss out of our opponents. However it leaves me perplexed when I see someone so bitter, they take the piss out of us at EVERY given opportunity. Why don't I get it. Because when I have time, I'm more concerned with our state of affairs. I could care less who the mancs are playing and who they are signing. I didn't give a crap about their last visit here and I didn't talk about it much less direct criticism. I also can't understand why any manc would want to attend a Liverpool training session. I mean I can understand turning up on match day to support the national team but to our training session? You wouldn't catch me dead attending a Man Utd one no matter which celebrity footballers they bring with them. What the heck am I supposed to want to see there anyway?

QUOTE(m4kubex @ Jul 19 2011, 10:22 AM)
i just LOL at this.. i used to hangout with lots of mansc*m and honestly most of them who supporting mansc*m because of their current achievement.. atleast my friend still respect LFC after recent head-to-head against them, only some of brainless fans or new to BPL follower think cska london and arseanal their rival because lack of knowledge
*
There can always be a begrudging respect. Like what kazuki said earlier, a lot of it is blind hate. When you blindly hate someone, you don't look past your resentment and you foolishly disregard any positives the person may have. I don't like mancs but I respect some I know because they know a lot.

More importantly, why did you support the mancs in the first place? I am critical of fans who change clubs especially when it involves Man Utd and Liverpool.

Here's come the truth. tongue.gif Before im inspired by Ryan Giggs football skills. 1-2 years following man utd. But more and more, i feel most of the player starting to be arrogant. Especially the dreaded Cristiano Ronalboooo... Starting to get away from man utd from there (even before Ronalboo, i hate roy keane tongue.gif) Sick of him. Then i try to really getting serious to find my real football club. Im starting to fall in love with gerrard enthusiastic and humbleness in football. Slowly getting know liverpool, and knowing the fans, my heart telling me, this is A REAL FOOTBALL CLUB. Im going thru Liverpool hardship starting Gerard Houlier era, till now. It have been ups and downs, i never been anymore satisfied as Liverpool Fans (even we not qualify for any european cup or winning anything, i still love LIVERPOOL). Its my everlasting love

(kinda like love story.. damn) tongue.gif
*
Fair play. I highlighted those 3 words because I think it is key for any football fan to do so. Glad that you read about both clubs before making a final (final right?) decision.

I found out something disgusting recently. Friend of mine who got me interested in Liverpool back when we were in school migrated and has lived in Australia for about 20 years now. He was a Liverpool fanatic back then, hence my allegiance. I only see him occasionally and I was appalled to see his facebook postings. Suddenly, he's now a Man Utd fan! I asked him what happened given that the only words that came out of his mouth back then were "Liverpool", "Beardsley", "Rush" and "Barnes". Seems he lost touch with the club (Aussies weren't big on football back then and without the internet, coverage was extremely limited) and as interest in football picked up in Oz. he started following the flavour of the month i.e. Man Utd. ****.

QUOTE(vreis @ Jul 19 2011, 02:26 PM)
Then comes internet & all, getting to know Reds becomes easier & it struck me how much it means to us being a Reds. Read all about her beginnings, histories & all. The highs & lows, the tragedies, the achievements, I still cant get enough of her, even now.
SO for some who pronounced themselves as supporters/fans but have no interest in the history of the clubs made me dumbfound. wink.gif
*
I think we come from the same period. To be honest, I only started getting serious the past 10 years or so despite supporting the team for just over 20 years. Without the internet it was hard to get any information at all. Like you said, my only resource was MATCH and SHOOT. My favourite section was the player ratings page because they also included a synopsis of the match.

QUOTE(vandread86 @ Jul 19 2011, 02:28 PM)
my gf also said she minat man utd, but not even know the man utd subs, who are their previous player and so on. Kinda sad. Only Liverpool fans know all the legend (at least at the 80's legend). Liverpool truly a Football Club
*
The fact that King Kenny has returned to the club will hopefully spur younger fans to read up and find out why he's so revered not just because of what he did on the pitch, but also off it. It was nice to see banners like the Spirit of Shankly one at Bukit Jalil. Also, there was one with the faces of Shankly, Paisley, Fagan, Houllier and Rafa which was nice. Good that appreciation for the past was shown.

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Jul 19 2011, 02:45 PM)
Doesnt make you a lesser fan but makes others who were willing to stay despite of the jam a bigger fan icon_rolleyes.gif

That moment was priceless for me at bukit jalil and was the one of the highlights of the day other than the entertaining second half.

I dont think any other club can boast of this.I tried looking up for 'glory glory man united at bukit jalil' on youtube and the results were irrelevant biggrin.gif

Also i think i should claim some credit for myself as i was the first person to go on ProEvents facebook page and request them to play ynwa and negaraku on matchday

Then more fellow fans echoed my sentiments.Today chelski fans are all over the page requesting to play their song(i never knew they had a proper anthem tongue.gif )

Check it out if you have time http://www.facebook.com/ProEventsGroup
*
The problem with the "glory glory Man Utd" song is most fans think it's a chant. It's actually a pretty long song. Same applies for some Liverpool fans I know as well. They know the chorus to YNWA but that's it. They don't know the other bits.

Not only was traffic on the roads bad, the human traffic at the bridge near the LRT station was bad as well. Didn't bother driving home immediately after. Had dinner first while waiting for traffic to clear.

QUOTE(solnavo @ Jul 19 2011, 04:06 PM)
Back then, match and shoot were only rm2.50-rm3.00 per pieces during 1995-1999. I still remember one of the articles,if not mistaken, the joke section about the signing of Heskey. They kept asking Houllier when will Heskey score and Houllier not answering the question. laugh.gif
*
MATCH and SHOOT costs an arm and a leg now.

I now buy FourFourTwo instead. The articles are much better and it only costs RM 10 which is cheaper than MATCH and SHOOT.

No one paid attention to what happened before the "hero" was asked to remove his kit eh?

Added on July 19, 2011, 4:16 pmLooks like they'll be a big turnout for Chelsea's match in KL. Maybank bought 20,000 tickets to give away to school kids!

Maybe because you guys haven't meet a true female supporter? hahah..
Liverpool Fc is a awesome football club ever, I am sure there's a lot true female supporter.. tongue.gif
*
I've a friend who used to be a model. She's now married sigh... Thing is she's one of the biggest female Liverpool fans I know. Before she got married, we met over lunch and she was discussing her wedding which was held in Phuket. She asked if I thought it was wise to use the lyrics to YNWA as part of her wedding vows. I told her it was perfect and she actually did it! Husband isn't a football fan so it didn't bother him one bit. She fights him for the TV remote each time Liverpool is playing. Good stuff.

QUOTE(aressandro10 @ Jul 19 2011, 07:14 PM)
i am sorry bro . But i think Liverpool people provoke him first and his response more of inwards than outwards....
Well the video only shows a segment of his antics. I've heard accounts from friends who were there stating he was repeatedly kissing his badge and making a nuisance of himself. Let's take all this as heresay and ignore it for a moment. Thing it you would expect to get some stick for wearing a Man Utd jersey to a Liverpool training session no? You're from Terengganu right? Would the same not happen to a Kelantan fan? The thing is what do you do after receiving some stick? If you choose to commit suicide by goading 'home' fans further, whose fault is it? Just sit down, shut up and people will stop.

"I support chelsea because the coefficient of victory!! you feel it coz you live it.. we dont rely on the past like man u.. liverpool.. We make our own history now..am part of history.. " Chelsea fan berkata2... and quote at facebook

"because the coefficient of victory" hahahaha.. if no victory, u dun support anymore? loyalty is cheap tongue.gif

"we dont rely on the past like man u.. liverpool.. We make our own history now..am part of history.." what history? get all the money but not winning championship anymore? win any european cup in that period? come on la... trying so hard to make history that is not even happening.

LOL la at this kinda fan. sad to know la.. aduh....
He's got it wrong there. Man U are current and they don't talk about their history. He's right that Chelsea have no history and they are now making history but it's like I said. Unless there comes a time when they are no longer at summit of English football, his loyalty will not be tested and thus his pedigree as a fan will always be in doubt.

what you guys have done is ballsy, you guys are more 'Legend' then the clueless dude who attended a wrong training session, given the article about why Kopnites love Liverpool even after the elusive EPL after 2 decades! Its about passion & not measured by arrogance of lustier silverware in recent times.
Being arrogant I get but being delusional? Till today you get people defending what the numbnut did during our training session despite video evidence. Darn, sounds a little like someone after the BERSIH rally eh? So then, what about the video I posted earlier on Man Utd fans giving a Liverpool fan stick when they played in Bukit Jalil? What if the said Liverpool fan had started kissing his jersey while doing silly dance? Hypocrites. Arguing with someone who suffers from an inability to compute logic can lead to high blood pressure.

I've been a big fan of Carroll and it's no surprise then that I'm still backing him to make an impact with us. Yes, I must admit he's looked sluggish in pre-season so far but it's a time when players are stretching their legs after a layoff. We've still a little time to go before the season starts proper and I'm hoping he'll be back to full fitness in that time. Right now it looks as though his price tag may be burdening him.

About a week ago, someone asked about Liverpool travel packages? Sorry but I can't remember who you are. I mentioned that a friend of mine is the GM of FootballFocusAsia and he's reverted after getting back from the UK. I might be able to get you a slight discount.

Suppose you can check their website. The last time I went it was on Emirates. KL --> Dubai --> Manchester. Took a train to Lime St. Station, Liverpool. The travelling was a pain though. Including the stopover, it took me almost 24 hrs to get to Liverpool.

Dude, if you really want to go you don't need to organise a 'rombongan'. Just plan your own trip and go with a friend. You'll need to go for at least 2 days if you want the stadium tour.

Don't know the airfare price coz when I last went, it was "sponsored" smile.gif

I wouldn't buy too much into this story for 2 reasons.

1) The first source is unreliable at best. I don't read the second for good reason.
2) Lucas never said anything to the press. It's merely a claim or assumption based on the fact we've so many options in midfield now.
