I took FIT2018 and I never regret it. I still remember my time compared to the previous 2 sem which has much more tutorial that guide you while my year requires you to actually research your way to implement the solutions. While I find the postgrad student hardly can provide any good advice, google has more than enough resources that will guide you through that unit.

Does paying a lot for uni fees means that you should be spoon fed with solution to assignment problems? We are in uni now, research are part of our learning life now especially in IT field. I am actually glad that I was given a challenging assignment instead of assignment which I can easily score by just copying from the textbook, after all when you enter the working world, you WILL be spending your time researching for solution again, that time are you going to whine about how people are not guiding you? In fact, I actually find exams useless for most IT subjects as it does not fully test a student's ability to apply what they learn.

Trial and error, that is what we have been taught since the early days of our IT life in Monash. If you have no initiative to put effort to research,understand and apply then you have yourself to be blamed.
