I see no reason to generalise the entire student population into the category you present. Students that matter will be able to make informed decisions based on their own research as well as knowledge they obtain from specialists in their desired field. It is completely fair for universities to promote as they wish, it is true that many institutions operate with the main objective of making money, after all, it is a lucrative industry. This is irrelevant if you treat it as a form of exchange, in return for the quality of education which one will receive.

What is the purpose of the analogy of students taking up a course in Bachelor of Business? If it is targeted at the business course in Monash Sunway Campus, I welcome you to present other universities in Malaysia which can provide a significantly better recognised, complete and prestigious degree. Costs have always been a factor for tertiary education, however, it is safe to say that those studying in Monash are unfazed by some of the highest tuition fees in Malaysia. Obviously those enrolled in Monash are attracted by its reputation, course structure or recognition rather than a free ipad, even if they are unaware of the specifics of the course itself.

It is a competitive world and most professions will have more people taking the course than number of jobs available in the industry (doctors, accountants, engineers etc.). What matters is how they present themselves and perform which will get them their deserved position. "Misinformed and confounded" students will have a negligible impact on the true competition.

Does monash hv foundation courses for business?

I have some question regarding transferring university.
I am doing first year right now, and I am hoping that I could transfer to Australia next year, but I wanted to go university of melbourne. Is there anything I should know? Please help !

I know the minimum requirements and stuffs, just wasn't sure whether i need to take extra course or not..
since two different university, I might need to do an extra unit or something. So I am trying to seek for help about this, I won't get the information in-detail from the website.

Hi, helping a friend ask some questions.

She applied for the next MBBS Medicine intake in Monash Malaysia which is in Feb.

Just now, the university sent an e-mail rejecting her saying she does not fulfill academic requirements (TER 97).

But before the the rejection which is few days back, Monash called her and told her there was an issue with her

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) cert because she finished it in 2009, (FYI, she was working until 2011)

the counsellor told her that it has something to do with the duration which is already more than 2 years. But she did

try to apply earlier this year 2012 but the counsellor told her that the deadline was over so she should apply for the

2013 one, which she did recently. She even confirmed with the counsellor if the certificate will still be valid and the

counsellor told her there's no problem.
She's currently at loss at what to do considering the counsellor told her there wasn't a problem earlier this year but

suddenly there is. She's considering an appeal since she is quite adamant in getting into the course. The IMU

overseas programme is too expensive, so she's only left with this option to get a reputable med degree. She tried

to call them just now but staffs already went back so she can only go on Monday.
What can be done to assist her in doing so? Thanks.

Yes, Australian can enrolled in Monash University Sunway campus starting from next year onwards, however they are not allowed to enroll in MBBS or Pharmacy course mainly due to internship issue that may arise later.
