QUOTE(ceo684 @ Jul 28 2011, 03:44 AM) that depends on the number of affected students and how many morning people cum non-drivers there are... o.Olast time i had clashing lec caused by trade finance ecw2721, cos the lecturer was moonlighting some other uni so afternoon times are not available..clashed with money and caps..so our unit was deemed less important as money+caps was a huge class..at first set 6-8pm, banyak complains.. then change to 8-9 x2 instead.. i had "private lectures" in my car almost all the time...kept missing it because i was stuck at the kesas summit junction. Arghh. I'm still in a bit of dilemma because of this. My lecturer have been asking me to change to other subject since it's an elective. It's a very small class, hardly 25 students, only one lecture and one tutorial session. I just wanna pass this subject because I find it useful for my future. Not so much of aiming to get a HD. QUOTE(alaskanbunny @ Jul 29 2011, 07:54 AM) I haven't step into the cafeteria since uni started. Don't think I'll be doing so anytime soon. QUOTE(baoz @ Jul 29 2011, 12:29 PM) I don't get why the nuggets keep increasing their price. When it first started out, one packet costed Rm 2.90. Then went up to Rm 3.00. And now RM 3.50. Not only that, she reduce the number of nuggets too. Last time got more. It's not as tasty as well. QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 2 2011, 10:54 AM) Left at the T junction. Then u will reach a mini roundabout. Go straight all the way to the end and then turn right. A huge building selling golf equipments will be on your left. Go all the way straight and then you will the exit. Sometimes that road all the way straight to the exit can be quite jam during peak hours, especially around 6-7pm.What you can do is turn left immediately after you turn right at the last t-junction, at the next t-junction turn right, then go all the way straight (it's quite a big road), and turn right again at the next t-junction, then turn left and you'll end up at the exit. It's usually faster than the jam but very much longer. QUOTE(Mercedes @ Aug 2 2011, 02:13 PM) It's the so call "Desert", or if you turn left, it's the "Jungle". Added on August 3, 2011, 9:14 pmOh and they actually done up the Jungle parking edi, but still lots of rocks and sand. They just filled up the holes. Much better than last time. QUOTE(redhibiscus @ Aug 26 2011, 07:33 AM) Could be true. Sunway area rental ain't that cheap. Even those condos near Sunway university are also quite expensive. The last I heard was about RM700-800 a month. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Dec 15 2011, 01:29 PM) Hey can anybody tell me how does the viewing of examination scripts work? Do i get to argue for marks? Thanks. If not mistaken, I think you can make a complain or something for them to mark it a second time if you're not satisfied with your marks. I know a few of my friends did it for assignments this sem. For exam, I only heard about it. Not sure though. Probably have to pay a fee as well. |

QUOTE(lonewolf66 @ Jan 26 2012, 05:30 PM) I'm in need of opinions regarding the bachelor of psychological science & business course at the subway campus. Does it comes with honors? I just received my A-levels results from the total of 3 subjects ( Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry) and it's more than enough to qualify for the course but just 1 mark short from the pharmacy course requirements which I intended to take up in the first place. Anyways, how's the course structure and all? Thanks in advance! Cheers!! Appreciate it much for a fast reply as the dateline for final registration is near. No it does not come with honours. You'll have to get good grades and apply for honours when you completed your 3 years degree. This will all be introduced and explained in detailed during orientation. Psychology and Business isn't exactly the same as Pharmacy. It's what the name says - Psychology and Business study. For every semester, you'll be taking 2 psychology subjects and 2 business subjects. The business subject will be from the business major you wish you pursue in, e.g. Marketing, Management, International Business, Accounts, etc. In the 1st year, you'll be taking 1 psych subject and 3 core business subject for each semester. The bulk of psychology marks are in lab classes and reports/assignments, final exam is fully MCQs for all the psych subjects. You'll be learning about theories, some bio stuff, how to do researches, analysing data, writing reports and all that. For the business subjects, it'll be the same subjects that the Business students are in. |

QUOTE(Jjdesu @ Jan 29 2012, 12:35 PM) Do you find it any tougher taking double degree compare to other single degree? And do you think it's necessary to include psychology into business study? Just merely my doubt...enlighten me plz Psych and Business is not a double degree. It's a double major and honestly, the workload isn't that heavy. Nothing is necessary. I took psychology cause I had interest in psychology but business was still my main thing. My batch only had around 30 students or so taking that particular degree. Psychology is not about reading people's mind. So I don't really understand where you're coming from with the 'necessity to include psych into business' thing. |

QUOTE(johnconnor @ Jan 29 2012, 05:34 PM) Hey guys. May I know how long does it usually take for you to get an offer from Monash Sunway upon application? Are there anyone here who received an offer within a week from application? I was suppose to get mine within 1-2 weeks. But the stupid Kangaroo courier service that Monash used couldn't find my house for 3 times. I had to make some calls and give them directions to get them to deliver my offer letter so it took around 3 weeks for me. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jan 29 2012, 06:27 PM) Nope. I live in Shah Alam all the time. Lol. Poslaju have no problems at all finding my house. If they had used Poslaju then it would be much easier. I think they had some problems with Kangaroo also. Last time they used Kangaroo. That was in 2009. |

I did receive an email but it was more like a notification for me to expect my offer letter in hard copy in my mailbox soon.
Maybe they changed it already now? |

QUOTE(Jjdesu @ Feb 27 2012, 10:00 PM) Imo, Sunway campus not that bad. They still spoonfeed from time to time. Especially help with assignments. It'll be fine la. It's not that hard. Make sure you pay attention on how to search for journal articles too! |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Feb 29 2012, 12:49 AM) Are you talking about Microeconomics? If so, I mati already. Have tutorial and lecture today (Wednesday) but really takut I don't know anything because I've been science student since F4 and never touched econs in my life. Unfortunately I have to take it. I was a pure science student as well. But I took accounts in my foundation year.Microeconomics is the basic of the basics. Since it's a core subject, they will teach you from the beginning as if you don't know a single thing about economics. I've never know what economics was all about but this subject wasn't that hard. You just have to understand the concept, draw the graphs and you'll be fine. |

QUOTE(Jjdesu @ Feb 29 2012, 07:41 PM) I have a question here...you have done microeconomic assignments right? For the source of article...must we use the journals provided in lib? The main purpose of having those journals are for assignments one right? Or we can google up our own articles? You can google but most of the journals you find online will only give you the summary or the preview of it. Cause these journals are not free for all, you have to pay to get the full version. Basically most of the journals that you can find via google, you can also find on monash library database. The database also has Google Scholar which I find quite useful at times. Someone plz enlighten me Ps: forgot to ask my tutor just now |

QUOTE(Dayang Kemboja @ Jul 3 2012, 10:00 AM) What is the minimum entry into Monash University? Check their website. Different course has different entry requirements. Some also require you take certain subjects as a requirement. Need to take any entrance test? Sorry.. I am new to this. Not very sure about it. Requirement score basically pre-u courses, STPM, Year 12 and those of similar qualifications. |
