QUOTE(ryan18 @ Jul 20 2011, 10:08 AM) you mean August intake? well August intake is the best, since you get 5 days break only 2 class a week unless they change it this year. Yes but this is only for the first year, am I right? Subsequently years will revert back to 4 units per sem. And in fact, for a 3-year course will actually take 3.5 years to complete. |

QUOTE(thealy @ Jul 20 2011, 11:40 PM) So in the first semester I won't be doing 4 units? And Mercedes, what do you mean by 3.5 years? It states there in my offer letter that the course will be 3 years. Thanks for all the help clearing it all up for me guys Now I'm not so sure about the duration of the course for August intake. So excited for uni if the 5 days break applies for me! Check out the contents from this lnk... http://www.monash.edu.my/advancement/pso/a...take/index.html It says - "The diagram above shows the study pattern of a student who commences studies in August 2011 for a three-year course. Please note that double-degree courses typically take an additional year." So does the diagram shows study pattern for a three-year course or for double-degree courses? If it's for a three-year course, then why 28 units altogether? Total units for a three-year course is 24 units, no? |

QUOTE(ReaperOfSoul @ Jul 28 2011, 01:58 PM) Hi guys, Sorry, you said you entered Monash a few weeks ago? But the 2nd semester just started this week!?Im facing a dilemma for these few weeks. My problem is I felt that computer science isn't something which i liked after these few weeks. Almost everything in it just doesnt spark an interest in me. I think it would take a long time if I were to type down everything I did / did not like about it |

It's never too late for anything, especially when it comes to education and employment.
There are numerous cases of graduating and then working a couple of years and then back to post-grad studies. There are also cases of re-scheduling the course units to cater for a one year exchange programme to Monash Australia, and with odd unit(s) that are only offered once a year and students have to defer a sem just to complete those unit(s). |

QUOTE(scary91 @ Aug 2 2011, 07:55 PM) Hello, anyone studying IT programme in Monash University? Haha! What's with IT? Why sobbing? Please text and reply me as soon as possible. QUOTE(CookieGhoul @ Aug 2 2011, 08:11 PM) Steel Up: The parking bays are where you turn left on the Monash main road. It's before the drop off zone. You just turn left into the parking lot, go under the boom gate and park anywhere. I think it's near the jungle. Turn left on Monash main road? Well, depends which direction you're coming from. Simplier, is it on the side of the Uni or opposite the Uni? Thanks. |

QUOTE(scary91 @ Aug 4 2011, 10:54 PM) But you haven't even enrol in Monash yet. Why sobbing now? When you enrol next year, you will get to know you course mates and your seniors and your lecturers and tutors. Then you can interact with them and ask all your questions. There will also be consultation hours with you lecturers. However, if you have any queries before enrolment, you can always check with the School of IT at Monash. I'm sure there are student councilors there who will be able to help you. |
