QUOTE(podrunner @ Oct 2 2011, 11:01 AM) There's too many tertiary options, college/universities are sprouting up like mushrooms, all with the single objective of cashing in on misinformed and confounded parents and students. When it comes to tertiary education in malaysia in this day and age, it's not about going to college or uni. Just take a look at the number of students taking up Bachelor of Business, which seems to be the default course. Using a business degree as an example, a lot of parents will then be looking at costs, and not so much the specifics of the course itself. I know many parents who do not really know what their kids are actually studying, and they are the ones who will fall prey to just enrolling their kids in any college/uni for the sake of a degree. business degree is not cheap thou...i mean in monash...also need like rm33k for a year...o m geeeeee |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jan 29 2012, 11:02 AM) No it does not come with honours. You'll have to get good grades and apply for honours when you completed your 3 years degree. This will all be introduced and explained in detailed during orientation. Do you find it any tougher taking double degree compare to other single degree? And do you think it's necessary to include psychology into business study? Just merely my doubt...enlighten me plz Psychology and Business isn't exactly the same as Pharmacy. It's what the name says - Psychology and Business study. For every semester, you'll be taking 2 psychology subjects and 2 business subjects. The business subject will be from the business major you wish you pursue in, e.g. Marketing, Management, International Business, Accounts, etc. In the 1st year, you'll be taking 1 psych subject and 3 core business subject for each semester. The bulk of psychology marks are in lab classes and reports/assignments, final exam is fully MCQs for all the psych subjects. You'll be learning about theories, some bio stuff, how to do researches, analysing data, writing reports and all that. For the business subjects, it'll be the same subjects that the Business students are in. This post has been edited by Jjdesu: Jan 29 2012, 12:36 PM |

QUOTE(Aar0nY @ Feb 5 2012, 06:19 PM) Getting good grades are important, but please remember to enjoy university life. =D What's the requirement to transfer to Clayton? Heard its tough...especially for commerce studentsI didn't take that unit as it was not a compulsory unit back when I was in year one. I heard it's easy to pass but hard to get a HD for that unit. I'm exchanging to Monash Clayton next year if you need any advice, you are welcome to PM me. By the way, try to make it for the buddy-buddee night, you will meet some cool engineering people there. Cheers. Added on February 5, 2012, 6:30 pm All the engineering courses in Monash Sunway are awarded with Honours. You need to have an average grade of 75 to get a First Class Degree. I think you might find this link below helpful http://policy.monash.edu.au/policy-bank/ac...ale-policy.html And no, the grading is fine. If you get 80+ 80+ 80+ 70+, you will end up with a GPA of 3.75, which is reasonable. Cheers. |
