QUOTE(jamieyeap91 @ Jul 25 2011, 04:36 PM) I'm under engineering! =) You can just go to the One-Stop information centre at the library. I had the same problem as you and I went to the library and asked the lady why I couldn't print and all, then she made a phone call and told me they reset my password, and gave me a new password and asked me to change it when I first logged in. Then it worked like a gem.Anyway I have a question. How do I log into the computers in the library/ around the campus? Previously I've changed my password for my authcate and everything works fine except for logging into the computers in the university. Any steps that I have missed out? Oh btw: Maths tutorials are open people ! |

QUOTE(jamieyeap91 @ Jul 26 2011, 01:24 PM) got it done! thanks! and i thought they're supposed to pre-load some printing credit for us at the beginning of each semester? how mine is still RM0.00? It will say that in the portal ( I think ) but you can try to print something out. Then, go to the printer, press 1 and flash your card over the keypad. If everything is fine, then they will show that you have 15.00 RM of printing creditThis post has been edited by CookieGhoul: Jul 26 2011, 01:37 PM |

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 1 2011, 08:43 PM) When you turn in from monash there will be a t junction. Turning right will lead you to rock cafe's road. I got the part from the roundabout. From the roundabout you can actually go through SJMC area, then curve left. Up through Carrefour U-Turn and flyover up. Then left for the Subang Toll.Turn left instead. Go all the way to the end, then turn left and go all the way straight. You will come out nearby the roundabout. Take 12 o clock. Keep to the right and go up the flyover. Keep right all the way and then you will enter federal highway. Empire shopping mall will be on your right. Try to keep left and follow the sign board showing Ipoh and you will reach nKVE eventually. Hope I made sense. And i didnt get the initial part. Do you mean the Monash road itself ? Road A is the road upon which you reach when you turn left when you are on the Sunway university road. From Road A you go straight and you end up on the road that goes past Rock Cafe on the left and Esso on the left. Then you just exit from that road out to the Sunway Pyramid road that connects to the roundabout at Metropolitan. QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 1 2011, 10:17 PM) Yes you can go through SJMC road but theres too much traffic lights there. I've tried every possible road to get into NKVE and I have come to this conclusion that this way is fastest if there's jam. Oh ok. So you sure it's left at the T-junction, go straight till the end and then left again ? Or is it left then right ?Why I meant is, after you come out from the paid parking, before the first traffic light when you enter the main road, there's a junction in which you could turn left right? When you turn inside, you will reach a t junction. Get what I mean? It's the turn before your Road A. |

zstan: Thank you so much. Cos of your help I was able to cut my travelling time by 15 minutes.
Steel Up: The parking bays are where you turn left on the Monash main road. It's before the drop off zone. You just turn left into the parking lot, go under the boom gate and park anywhere. I think it's near the jungle. |

QUOTE(-JUL @ Feb 1 2012, 04:42 AM) I'm doing it ! It's pretty good to be honest. But of course, any engineering course worldwide requires lots of work so expect to be working quite a lot more compared to Pre-U. Also expect to be reading reference books a lot more (reading around the subject). Lecturers are pretty good to be honest, although I can only speak for ENG1040, ENG1050, ENG1091, and ENG1061. Lots of students complain about ENG1061 because its not a traditional maths and science subject. It requires more of an all-round approach. Presentation skills and speaking skills together with groupwork etc. etc. I personally felt ENG1061 was a nice subject and Mr Mathew is a great lecturer. Its the subject where there are the fewest numbers of HD.If you want to ask anything else, please do |

I think you can transfer to Clayton at the end of first year. Not too sure about Uni of Melb.
Technically you don't need to be getting 4.0 to get First Class Honours. This is because in Third Year and Fourth Year, the weighted average mark becomes much more significant. So what you do in third and fourth year matters the most. Also, on ENG1061, just attend classes and make sure you listen to what Mr Mathew is talking about. I can say this as I know many students never used to come to his class, or on the rare occasion that they would come they would sleep at the back. So yea. Take it seriously. |
