is Monash here the same as in Monash Australia homeland ? I ask because the Medical faculty of Monash M'sia is different from Monash Clayton as you can't even practice as a doctor in Australia as I found out. What about the rest of the courses offered here in M'sia ?
*
medicine is diff due to statutory requirements... other professional progs are the same... maybe pharmaceuticals is regulated as well

QUOTE(alicia89 @ Oct 11 2013, 12:27 PM)
i'm not from there.

yeah the river is totally dirty. it used to be so clean that we could see the bottom, but it was a long time ago. probably around 20 years ago. haha

performing art? what do they do?
*
well, most msian rivers are dirty now as well...

errr, they dance, act, make short films... etc etc.. mostly locals, i doubt many indos join them... monash have an indo club if i had not mistaken.

also one more thing, msia is a very dangerous place... no exp handbag or exp necklace.. worse than jakarta..

alaskanbunny you already scaring her.but its good to give prior warnings
stay away from quiet and dark places at night.i believe in bandar sunway, there is a few places that is pretty dark as the lights are not bright enough
*
scaring her? i myself is damn afraid when i am in msia man... my beloved PJ used to be so safe but not anything... i thought only shitty jb and kl is bad, but it is the whole country... how to attract foreign students then

one thing good is indo always stick together... so any trouble still not too bad

ok maybe not scaring but warning/reminding.
agree,i myself is also afraid when i go to kl/peninsula malaysia. gotta keep a very low profile no flashing of fat wallets around (not that i have any lol) to attract unwanted attention

have to rely on ourselves to be more alert
*
these days criminals go for anything valuable, smartphones... every have 1 except me.., handbags, backpacks, cars... etc etc

QUOTE(Alish_sj @ Oct 16 2013, 04:12 PM)
Wow, I have to be super careful when I'm there :/
*
yea... always be prepared, no harm in doing so.. especially towards those uniform authorities, just like the mafias in indo

QUOTE(newbzie @ Oct 16 2013, 07:07 PM)
wow, i know each place has it's pro's and cons but this is quite intense.
it seems that mostly students in expensive collages ,eg monash , taylor , nottingham etc would be in the target list.
*
luckily for monash and sunway the developer hires their own auxiliary police...

Hi, do any of you guys know any INTI Diploma in Mech Eng students who transfer to Monash for BEng? How much credit (max) they can transfer?
*
case to case basis... they transfer by module rather than by credit points...

nobody is saying sunway is unsafe.yes bandar sunway is relatively safe compared to other places, however there are a few ''isolated'' incidents once in a while.

i am pointing out msia is scary... sad.gif

then we would have much better food during my time in monash sunway if you got the cafetaria contract
think people prefer to eat in lunchbox SMR compared to the cafetaria nowadays even though its quite pricy
*
yea man... sunway college's cafeteria is very well run if u ask me, or at least during my time... monash, is sad to say... in a very bad state

do expect some ups and downs sometimes... but most important is to have fun and yet do well in ur studies.. being in a new country is already is challenge and coping with studies is not easy, having more friends would surely help
